Been to Teddys many many times over the years, family, friends and work get-togethers, large and small, and always more than happy with our experience. What on earth has happened since the last time we were there?! The food was the smallest portion size ever. Granted its been a while, but I was eager to get back for the salted chilli beef, the last I had it there it was absolutely delicious. This time it didn't taste of salt or chilli.. or anything at all. Totally bland. The curry sauce was like water, no taste. We have visited Teddys several times. Quality of the food is good, its pub grub and never had any issues. On this occasion we went as a family. For the kids ordered two children 's meals of the children 's menu. This is advertised at the bottom in a massive font at £6.95. On receiving the bill we were charge £8.95 for each kids meal. When queried they pointed to the smallest £2 text on the page beside the desert, to me this seemed underhand, and they charged £2.50 for a dash of cordial as unknowingly we asked for kids juice to come in a jug. Had contacted this place by email during the last week of Nov 2022 to have a table reserved for 3 people for a birthday dinner. Email returned from staff stating everything was booked for my date and time requested. Turned up to the place on the day to find the restaurant was locked up and secured. Upon going into the bar area, staff kindly informed us that the restaurant is in fact closed and has not been serving food on a Monday for quite some time. After seeing fantastic pictures of delicious food on Facebook, I decided to try this restaurant. I visited on a Friday night for the two-course meal for £18 deal. Unfortunately, I had to wait 30 minutes for my starters. The Brie was average, the soup was cold, and the wheaten bread was frozen. The main course of deep-fried beef strips resembled dog feces and was missing the promised prawn crackers. The Mexican fajitas did not sizzle as expected and arrived in a single large tortilla that looked like a sausage roll. This visit was for a birthday party held upstairs, I assume in a function room. Barman appeared less than experienced and within minutes of arriving the lager barrel was empty! So off he had to go and find someone to put another barrel on. Person in front of me was rather shocked to discover the cost for a bottle of coke and a bottle of Becks came to £9.40 and I was just as shocked to discover my order for a glass of wine and half a pint of Guinness was also £9.40! Is it any wonder so many pubs are closing with prices like that?!?!? The room itself was fine and a very nice buffet was put on but I shudder to think at what cost. Wouldn't return as I am not prepared to pay such high prices.
A group of eight friends, including myself, had lunch at Teddy's on July 28th and had a fantastic experience. We were warmly greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us promptly and provided us with menus, highlighting the specials of the day. The menu offered a variety of options, including smaller plate meals which suited our group perfectly since we are not big eaters. All of our dishes were well presented and delicious. I was unsure about one of the dishes on the menu, so the staff kindly brought me a small taste to try. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we all had a great time. We plan to return and would highly recommend Teddy's to others.
The staff greeted us warmly. The menu is fantastic and let's not even start on the portion sizes - they are massive! We had a wonderful evening and the staff was incredibly friendly. We can't wait to come back. I'm really excited to try the teddy bear's picnic, it's huge and looks amazing.
Went here as had been tempted by their Instagram posts have to say we were not disappointed, the food was delicious and the service was great, not to mention the georgous cocktails would highly recommend great value for money and we will definitely be back

Really enjoyed a roast beef dinner at Teddy's this afternoon. In fact it's the best I've ever had out! Will be back and the staff were all lovely too. Very cosy and pleasant atmosphere and value for money. 10/10
