Great ambiance and an interesting fusion menu, and felt like a fun date night place. Exotic mushroom appetizers: mushrooms were savory and perfectly sweet and salty, portion was more for a single person, and the mix had button mushrooms and shiitake, Ithink. For my main course, I tried the chef's sushi. The fish was incredibly fresh and delicate, presented in four pieces, though the rice didn't quite hold together as well as I had hoped. I also ordered the Thai basil lamb chops, which were juicy and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The basil flavor was prominent, and the mashed potatoes were creamy without being overly rich. I also had the sesame-crusted tuna, which was cooked nicely but served in a somewhat small portion with a lot of sauce—perhaps too much for my taste. What an amazing birthday celebration we had last night! Our server (Derek I believe was SUPERB! So helpful and accommodating! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We didn 't realize it was possible to go into a 'sushi coma ' until it happened but there was no way we were going to let a piece go uneaten. : Hats off to all of your staff and your chefs, they are fantastic. We cannot wait to come back with friends and get the Surf Turf roll again... which has now become my all time favorite! Thank you!
We had the tasting menu last night, and it was truly remarkable. Our server, Dan P., was fantastic. He took the time to explain each dish as it was served, checked in on everyone, and answered all our questions. The tasting menu was one of the best meals I've ever experienced, although everything at Teikoku is delicious. My wife, who is originally from Japan, and I absolutely love Teikoku. We visit specifically for the sushi and sashimi, which are truly the best we've ever had. Unlike many other sushi bars, Teikoku offers unparalleled selection and freshness. We’ve known Master Sushi Chef Koichi Aoyama since before he joined Teikoku, and we’re thrilled to have him there. On our way home from dinner, we both agreed that we need to come back more often! Thank you, Chef Aoyama and the team at Teikoku!
I wish I could give this place more stars, but I think there is some room for improvement. Shoutout to the bartender because the drinks were amazing, and so was the entree. Service was also really good, and our waiter did a great job. Unfortunately, the sushi, which was the main reason why we wanted to try this place, was just ok. Dessert was also not great, and I think it should be a lot better to be on par with the kitchen and the drinks.
Excellent food, drinks, service and atmosphere. My husband and i ordered pan seared gyoza, sashimi platter, petite kobe steak with truffle mashed potato and king oyster mushrooms, everything was beautiful and fresh and delicious. Not your average Japanese food. Very nice fusion with some Tai and Chinese to expand the menu. One of the best restaurants in the area and has a private room for small groups.
