We went for dinner there mid week and managed to find some meter parking close by in a parking lot, as everywhere else was full on. The restaurant itself has an old café feel about it with pressed metal, high ceilings, timber furniture, fireplace and a front counter. There was ourtyard dining as well but we elected to stay indoors due to the weather. We were the only ones dining in that night so we had the full attentiveness of the staff, including a call when were running late for our booking (looking for a carpark!) to see if we were ok. We had dined at this restaurant before and had purchased some voucher deals to bring some friends for a tasting menu. However, the restaurant had changed ownership since our last visit. Despite encountering difficulty in securing a reservation, we were able to book a table for last night (15/5) over two weeks in advance. After driving for an hour and a half from Warragul to the restaurant, we arrived to find a notice on the window stating that the restaurant was closed for cleaning. We were forced to quickly find another place to dine with our friends. When I reached out to the owner, I was informed that it was the responsibility of the voucher seller to inform me of the closure, not him. No...
Visited this place with a groupon voucher. Was impressed with the friendly service and attentiveness of all staff members. We were welcomed even though we were not full paying customers. (Even allowed us to change from the groupon 6 course degustation fixed menu without any questions). Food was tasty and fresh and hot! They had a temporary problem with the liquor licence on the night and to make up we were offered both cold and hot drinks. Young chef / owner personally came out to apologise to all patrons in a very professional manner. Also took our details for a discounted return visit! We will be back.

My wife purchased vouchers for a restaurant based on a review she read. Unfortunately, when we arrived on a Sunday night, the restaurant was closed for renovations. We were greeted by four arrogant men who said they were closed. Disappointed, we decided to try another restaurant called Toykyo Tina, which turned out to be the best decision. We also received a refund from the voucher company. Overall, I would not recommend the original restaurant.
well 1st my dinner should have started with a chivas regal as the reason why I ordered the deal, but they tell me its not in todays deal so I ordered a coke well that was FLAT no bubbles.Then came out my dinner well it stayed in the bowl service was poor food was terrible so I skipped desert.Please don't go to this place I go out a lot and this restaurant was the worst.
Dined here recently on a voucher. Initially i did experience difficulty getting through to them by phone so i emailed them. Heard back almost immediately. It was worth the wait. My partner and i loved it. We had the 6 course degustation. Beautiful flavours. Service was brilliant. Will definitely go again when next in Melbourne. Thanks guys!!
We had purchased a voucher also and were not disappointed. Service was great and the food enjoyable. The fish and chips course was a little small, but overall we had enough to eat. Very tasty and well presented food. The waitress was extremely warm and welcoming and very attentive, without being obtrusive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to dine there again. (Voucher purchased through OurDeal). There was so much food, it was difficult to get through the last two dishes!
