A beautiful setting with plenty of parking and really magnificent year round overlooking the garden and putting green. The menu is well composed but somewhat pricey, the service not always consistent and the food also not always consistent. This property in its entirety (golf course, restaurant, catering hall) has gone through a few owners since built and the current owners, although having big plans to improve it, are so focused on the big picture that the details are forever lost and therefore the quality has decreased (which is a pity). I want to begin by highlighting that the setting and ambiance were quite pleasant. The food was good, but unfortunately, the service was the worst I've ever encountered. There was a maître d' who seemed completely disengaged. I ended up having to go around to different tables to inquire about drinks, and it took an unacceptable amount of time for the dirty dishes to be cleared away—they remained in front of my guests for far too long. It was particularly embarrassing when my guests had to approach the front receptionist to ask for soda at their table, especially given the amount I paid. Based on this experience, I would not recommend hosting an event here.
We decided to celebrate Mothers Day at the Battleground Country Club. There had been a renovation since the last time we were there years ago. The food was just ok!. My omelet was not completely cooked and was runny in the center. I had to return it for a few more minutes of cooking. There was plenty of food with many choices and both grandsons under the age of three ate very well. The shrimp was unlimited and delicious however a Sunday Mothers Day omelet without lox and no whitefish anywhere to be found is unacceptable. What were they thinking? For a price of over $40 pp I don't think I'm returning anytime soon There are better values in New Jersey
As a meat cutter in the Air Force, I found it disappointing that I struggled to cut a $45 medium-rare filet. The fact that it was served already sliced was a clear indication that it might have been prepared well in advance. While the flavor was decent, I still had to request salt and pepper. The whipped potatoes, however, were exceptional! The French onion soup was also very good. The rib appetizer was outstanding! I wouldn't recommend the chicken nuggets, although the presentation in a basket was a nice nostalgic touch. The mac and cheese side was incredible! I recommend trying the Wood-Double Bourbon.

Mrs. B and I attended the annual party given by our financial planner here. The place is beautiful. The food was set up for self service and there was a wide range to select from. In addition the servers were bringing out hot hors d'oeuvres until we just could not eat any more. Everyone was very satisfied. The bartender, Kristine, did a fantastic job throughout the evening, and always had a nice smile.
Mrs. B and I attended an party for a close friend last week. The food was spectacular, bartenders friendly and knowledgeable, and the bus people were constantly on top of clearing. The deserts were beyond words.

Went there due to a coupon. Had a late lunch with my wife and friends and the food was vey good. Limited menu but what they do have is very good. Nice bar too.
