We are always on the lookout for some upscale Italian food in Laval, but we'd never heard of Terracina before. We learned about it via a groupon email and we decided to give it a try. We made a reservation by phone and when we arrived, the host was unable to find us in his book. Luckily the resto was not that full, so we were able to get a table. The decor is traditional and the atmosphere was good. When our server arrived, we gave him our groupon voucher. Aside from the misplaced reservation, things went downhill from there. we were bamboozled, place looked welcoming but this place is a scam. We went there with a groupon, they forget to mention that they put on about 30% gratuity fees on the worse service I have ever had... I think they figure that they can do what they want with customers. nice little place, took over 3 hours for diner, so much for catching a movie afterwards. the wait staff is everywhere but not paying any attention to anyone. we were missing a utensils and plates on our table... they have these cheezy $store battery candles for "ambiance"...placed in a dirty fishbowl. foodwise.... a pure disapointment. the antipasto is a plate the size of my 7 year old's hand with 4 slices of different uniden...
We had a varied group going for dinner, and so chose Terracina. The restuarant was quiet and we could easily hear each other while chatting. The menu is only in French and Italian -- would suggest perhaps a translated menu for English would also be a good idea -- and the server was able to help us with terms we were unfamiliar with.The food itself was VERY good - I had a simple Pomodoro (red sauce) dish, which was fabulous; the others had the mussels and seafood linguine; and the veal was cooked to perfection.I wasn't a fan of the chardonnay I ordered, and switched to the red which was better...
First ime at this excellent restaurant. They really know how to cook veal and pastas; the sauces were very good.Eric, the owner, obvioulsy enjoys working in his restauarnt and the service was friendly, smooth..We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere allowing us to discuss with our friend. We will go back for sure

Service excellent. Food delicious . Our meal from start to finish was excellent. Tasty pasta and veal dishes . Dessert was also very good . The only problem is that because we used a coupon from tango or groupon they add the tip to the bill . Not a big fan of that . Otherwise this place is a winner.
Two couples. We each had different dishes, veal, pasta, chicken. Flavourful, perfectly cooked, attractively plated. Tasty desserts and (a rarity too often) good coffee! We're going to return and try some of the dishes we haven't enjoyed yet.
Two couples went for dinner. Romantic decor. Friendly efficient staff. We had 4 different appetizers, 4 different entrees, 3 different desserts. All were perfectly cooked, well presented and very tasty. A very enjoyable experience!
After reading the last couple comments we were a bit worried but everything was perfect for us! Our meals were very tasty, the deserts were simply fabulous and the service was good.

Very lite cosy and friendly atmosphere, lovely service but need to have more people on duty when it's busy, tasty food well prepared, keep going
