We visited Harrison and were pleasantly surprised to find Korean cuisine in this small town. After wandering around a bit in search of a restaurant to try, we stumbled upon this cozy spot in the heart of Harrison. We ordered the chicken and beef cup bop meals with teriyaki flavor. The chicken was deep-fried and generously coated in sauce, although it didn’t quite taste like teriyaki—instead, it had a bit of a spicy kick. The beef was quite flavorful and had a sweeter profile. Both dishes were similar to bibimbap, featuring a variety of side dishes on the plate that you mix together with the meat. We got a lunch here and were very happy! My husband got the fish and chips and I got the teriaki chicken and we both were happy with the portion sizes. Really great price for the amount of food you get! And chef was chopping up the veggies while we were there, the food is very fresh. We ate our meals and then went for the hike to whippoorwill point, it sustained us very nicely, and neither of us had a food crash! We'll definitely go back again when we return. Of note, it is basically a food-truck. They do have covered outdoor seating, but if it's raining and cold (as it was the day we were there) it's not super comfortable. But it suffices, and I can see how it would be lovely in the summert...
I ordered two portions of fish and chips, and it took quite a while, even though there was only one other customer waiting for their food. When our meals finally arrived, they looked promising, but as soon as I took a bite, I was disappointed. The fish was sliced so thin—about 1cm, no exaggeration—that it was mostly just batter. Fast forward two hours, and I was hit with severe stomach pains, ultimately ending up vomiting and suffering from cramps. I strongly advise against going here unless you want an upset stomach and food that isn’t worth the price.
After our horrible experience at the settlers pub down the street we were super excited to try out this little gem for some good food!! I had the pork Katsu bowl crispy fried pork, veggies, spicy mayo, cold crispy noodles and rice it was awesome! Hubby had the teriyaki beef bowl and he loved it! We were already discussing what we want to try next time we are out that way!
A fresh and traditional taste of Korean cuisine in a bowl. This was a pleasant surprise and comes highly recommended if you like quick to go with a multitude of flavours in a healthy satisfying way. Can't wait for my next trip back. Get it while you can as they are only there until October so they say. Thanks guys for a memorable lunch! We'll be back!
The chips are nice and crispy, but the fish leaves something to be desired. It's quite thin, making it difficult to even notice it's there among the chips. I would recommend trying the soup or the teriyaki instead; they look much more appetizing. On a positive note, the outdoor deck is lovely, and the location is fantastic!
So tasty! Quick, friendly service, everything cooked perfectly, excellent flavours. Perfect fish and chips, and absolutely delicious beef teriyaki even for someone used to the luxury of choice for Asian food in vancouver!! Servings generous too : wonderful place! The prawn tempura looks delicious too!!
Great place to go for lunch. We had the chicken udon, chicken teriyaki, gyozas and the green salad. Didn't expect the portions to be so huge and we didn't get to finish everything even though we wanted to because it was delicious. Great price for a delicious lunch.
The food was amazing! We enjoyed the best fish and chips and teriyaki chicken we've ever tasted! Definitely a 5-star experience!
