However, there was one significant issue: the menu is available online, but the English version differs from the French one. My husband ordered Arctic char risotto from the English menu, only to discover that it was actually lobster risotto in the French version! I ordered a spinach salad with avocado, but in the French menu, avocado was missing entirely. I find this quite misleading, especially with tools like Google Translate available for accurate translations. Initially, the service was friendly, but when the confusion arose, the staff was less accommodating. During our two-day visit to Gaspé, we enjoyed this restaurant so much that we came back the next day. Pros: The food was outstanding, primarily sourced from local ingredients, and reasonably priced. The window seating provided a lovely view of the bay. They have a wide variety of menu options and styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Cons: While they have an extensive selection of craft beers, there are only two white wine options available. Additionally, service was a bit slow.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for anyone with food intolerances or allergies. The chef was unwilling to come to our table to explain why minor adjustments couldn't be made to accommodate my dairy allergy. There was a complete lack of empathy. On a positive note, our waitress was very friendly and made several attempts to persuade the chef on my behalf. More staff members like her are definitely needed in this place. I just ordered the worst meal at a restaurant in my life. I couldn’t eat it and had to pay a lot of money for nothing. I tried my husband’s meal as well and it too was gross!!!! Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40
The chef is terrible! There is a complete lack of empathy and sensitivity towards people with allergies. He even refused to remove cheese from a hamburger for someone who can't tolerate dairy, despite using milk products in other dishes on the menu!
The menu was quite limited and didn’t feature any steak dishes, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a small selection. The price per person ranged from CA$20 to CA$30. I would rate the service and atmosphere both as a 4 out of 5.
