My husband and I have eaten here 3 times and have been highly impressed with everything. We actually rarely eat out, but this is one of our favorite places to dine in Mt. Pleasant. My husband is not a very patient person (sorry hunny, it 's true! but he doesn 't mind having to wait for a table if we 're dining at the Texas Roadhouse. Once you are seated, the server promptly greets you and brings you rolls and gets your drinks. Our food is always hot and delicious. Prices are reasonable for our area. We 've always gotten special drinks, appetizers and a main course, and haven 't broken the budget. The manager always checks in to make sure you 're enjoying yourself and to see if there 's anyth...
I and my sister had a great dinner out there, their bread and cinnamon butter melts amazingly in the mouth, fall from the bone ribs, and mouthwater burgers (have the mushrooms and onions with Bbq sauce), Kenny's cooler was AMAZING!, the food was delicious, and our waiter was such a treasure of a child. With a great personality and hospitality service. And very fast and I was smiling when it came when I tried to find a drink that I liked to exchange a drink I wanted that u no ingredients for (not drinking a regular menu so completely understandable) and I had him a lot of questions about the bar, and he was just a great young man, I wish I could remember his name. He was a great server.
Wait staff wonderful. It is my children's favorite place to eat and I will take them there as a reward. We always enjoy the blooming onion along with their steaks and chicken fritters. I tried their prime rib again and I did not care for that. It was a nice portion, but it just had a smoked flavor and I do not like smoked foods. So I'm sure that to someone else that likes smoked foods it would be just wonderful. It just didn't have a beef flavor to me but other than that everything else was delicious. I would recommend Texas Roadhouse in Mount Pleasant to anyone.
My drink was very good. We decided to go for drinks and an appetizer. We shared a cactus blossom. It was okay. Nothing I think I would order again. We decided to order the appetizer combo plate to take home. We waited quite a bit for that because our order was accidentally given away to somebody else. The loaded potato skins looks like slivers of potatoes. The fried pickles were good, although a bit salty. Our last item was boneless chicken wings. Texas Roadhouse is always a treat. As a Veteran I appreciate everything they do for us. The food was delicious. My group had pulled pork, a burger, and a full rack of ribs. My only complaint is that it took quite a while for the food to come. I do understand that a full rack of ribs takes time, but with the amount of employees working, it seemed longer than it should have been. Everyone was friendly, the music was great, and we all had a great time.
If you're into making prepackaged food at home then you'll probably think the food is fantastic. If you're a from scratch person and are handy on the grill you'll probably think the food is okay but you could do better. The service though is absolutely amazing and is the reason I will continue to go here. It's so easy to leave a nice tip because it was worth it!!! To the owners reply.....I didn't leave dissatisfied. The abundant amount of staff makes for an enjoyable visit as the atmosphere isn't tense or full of understaffed stressed out workers. The food is always fantastic and they aren't stingy with their amazing fresh baked rolls. They make an excellent margarita and the giant onions are perfectly done. It's always busy and the wait can be pretty long so plan on being there a while.
When we got there it was an hour wait for seating because they were so busy. The wait was worth it! The food came exactly as we ordered it, the wait staff continuously checked in on us and the atmosphere was excited and friendly. Now I remember why we haven't been there in so long; Just not good food. Food quality is not important in places like this, bulk is. Serving sizes are enormous. Gives you that same feeling buffets do that it's valued to give a ton of food rather than great food. On the plus side their rolls are yummy.
