As a group of 4, we left TGI Friday in Staines feeling very disappointed. We had a £180 bill for food, 1 refillable diet coke, 1 coke, and 4 x 2 cocktails for £16. There was absolutely no atmosphere in the restaurant. We ordered 4 meals, and one of our group had opted for a sharing starter as her main. This arrived first, and we had to find a waitress to remind that we had only ordered 4 food items that should all come together, also to remind of the cola that had not arrived. So one of our Group ate alone and had no food while we all ate. When the mains arrived, 2 of the group had a half rack of ribs, which tasted really good but was honestly very poorly sized for £20. The place was awful wanted a table for 8 in an empty restaurant took her 5 minutes to come up with the idea to put a couple of tables together. Seems like she either didn't want our money or just couldn't be bothered to be there. Drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. Food was OK nothing special small portions missing items. No check back was done just genuinely poor customer service considering it wasn't busy at all. Prices ridiculous for what you are serving up. Embarrassing to be honest the waitress we had was lovely and totally wasn't her fault. Carry on with that service I can't imagine the company being there much longer. Menus filthy no cutlery on tables had to ask.
Tricky to write review about TGIs, as I don't really like their food. Spice is either way to much or not enough, not a fan of steak or ribs and there are better burgers out there. But here's the thing: the family really love it, and you need to book ahead as people were being turned away. There is a great atmosphere and the bar is pretty good too. Service was excellent, thanks Tony. He got the order of mixed starters as mains bang on and was very observant of the time for free refills. Looked like a reduced menu for covid, but if you want great food perhaps try somewhere else, if you want a great time you could do far worse.
Went to TGI’s today to celebrate Father’s Day with my family, NEVER AGAIN! Rudest staff I’ve ever come across, 1 hour 10 Mins no food no communication and met with attitude when asking simple questions (muttering under breath and sarcastic smiles) to follow up where everything was, had to go to the bar collect our own drinks, my 7 year old crying over the staff and confrontation and begged for her grandad to take her outside, we left to go to Nandos where we had a lovely hot meal and was out within the hour with a service with a smile. I received excellent customer service from marjorie, she was attentive, took our order early and had a real happy to help. eating was a good/average that we had burger with chips and chicken Fajitas, I was not especially awakened by everything, although the chocolate wing cake with ice was beautiful. overall decor was beautiful, beautiful large bar in the middle of the restaurants
The food os excellent but as with every single TGIF I've been to it's so slow. I get it good food takes a while. Especially in the evening. However TGIF seems to master at this with 1-2 hours of wait. And a steak doesn't take that long. And this is true for the chain in Bristol, in Staines and in Stockholm so it really seems to be universal.
came here on a busy Thursday evening with short employees, but our server, lewis, was amazing, despite how away from his feet he was! and eating was amazing, because ever the Mozzarella dimmers are highly recommended, and I had the chicken fingers for my pornstar, not disappointed!
