We got there around 5:15pm on a Saturday evening and just in time to beat the crowd. (We had tickets to a performance). I had never eaten there before. The food was delicious and the proportion was large. I had the pad woon Sen- easily the best I have eaten anywhere. Large shrimp and very fresh vegetables- so good! The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy and relatively quiet, especially for what became a busy Saturday night. Highly recommend!
I recently had an amazing dining experience at Thai Basil in Black Mountain. The Tom Kha soup is absolutely delicious and my go-to dishes are the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and Gang Panang Curry. And let's not forget about the tasty spring rolls. I was thrilled to discover this gem of a restaurant in Black Mountain. However, I must update my review as Thai Basil has since relocated to Marion, North Carolina.
The restaurant has recently changed ownership and is now under new management. It is conveniently located with parking available in front. There are options for both indoor and outdoor seating. The dinner menu offers dishes at various price points. However, the food lacks flavor and the portions are small. Orders are quickly prepared.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying the Masaan curry and the duck curry.
The Tom Kha was a little cold and bland, but the spicey basil chicken was great!
