We were staying nearby and went in on a Thursday evening to see if they had a table for the following night. Phasiri welcomed us. She told us that they were fully booked for the next night but showed us a table that they reserve for walk ins, so we booked that table for 7.30 on the Friday. Friday night came, along with very heavy rain. We got to this wonderful restaurant, they must of had some cancelations due to the weather, and Phasiri gave us a really lovely table by the window. We now started to peruse the large menu. We chose the large mixed starter, which had a bit of everything, followed by a generous portion of crispy duck for 2 , mains were chicken and cashew nut, prawn pad Thai and...
This restaurant experience was disappointing and not worthy of a star rating. We ordered starters and mains, including seabass, but upon arrival, the fish was full of bones despite being partially filleted. When we asked the server to return it, she rudely refused to take it off our bill and did not offer a menu swap or alternative dish. We had to request a clean fork to eat some remaining noodles, as we were not provided with a plate. This kind of service and food quality ruined our special occasion, as we have frequented this restaurant for many years for birthday celebrations.
I made a reservation over the phone since there was no website. The staff were friendly and promptly showed us to our table on a busy night. They recommended a Thai red wine that paired perfectly with our meal. The sharing starter was freshly cooked and delicious. The duck curry and beef in oyster sauce for our mains were also phenomenal. The service was excellent, with attentive staff and plenty of smiles all around. Overall, it was great value for money and the food was top notch.
The food at Thai for two is outstanding, the flavours are authentic and give a true taste of Thailand. I fully recommend the Thai Samosas to start. The pad Thai was a beautiful accompaniment to the beef in oyster sauce. I absolutely over ordered but the staff kindly packed up what I had left and it tasted just as good the next day! Great food, great staff, what more can you ask for?
Absolutely amazing !!! Lovely friendly staff, very welcoming and always made sure our waters were topped up. Food arrived quickly and presented beautifully. The food was so delicious!! We got the duck pancakes for starter, green chicken curry and pad thai for mains. Loved every dish. Very reasonably priced! Will definitely be returning!!
Love this place and it never fails to please when we are in this part of the country. Over the years never had a bad meal, dish or word. The staff are pleasant and accommodating and the food is fresh, vibrant and extremely consistent. Good value and charming surroundings, will keep coming back.
Our first visit to this restaurant but not our last. excellent attentive service, A variety of starters and main meals were ordered, empty plates at the end of the meal said it all 'Delicious '. Couldn 't fault service or food and sensible pricing, highly recommend this restaurant
Lovely welcome from the staff owner.. Beautiful meal, starters main meal..hot delicious beautifully presented.. Service excellent hardly any waiting time..staff very attentive without being over bearing. Will definitely go to this restaurant again we highly recommend it..
The delicious food and friendly staff made for an excellent dining experience. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food. We enjoyed a sharing starter, a couple of main dishes, wine, beer, and included service, all for just under £80.
