Delicious authentic Thai food! From what I can tell, this seems to be a family-run restaurant. Regardless, the ingredients are all incredibly fresh, the staff is friendly, and the dishes are simply delightful. You can either order several dishes to share at the table or select individual parts of a dish and enjoy what you like. Their standout ingredient is definitely the prawns—they cook them to perfection and they are packed with flavor. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. While walk-ins are often welcome, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure you get a table, especially on weekends when they can get quite busy.
I ordered takeaway from Thai Rack for the first time, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I was disappointed, especially since I had seen good reviews. The two dishes I ordered—chicken and prawns—tasted nothing like the authentic Thai food I've enjoyed at other restaurants. The red Thai curry was watery and lacked flavor, while the prawns were quite unappetizing. In the end, I had to settle for butter toast for dinner. I won’t be returning to this restaurant, as it was a big letdown. The only reason I'm giving it one star is that my daughter’s green Thai vegetable curry was slightly better.
This charming little Thai restaurant is located on the high street in St. Albans, close to the cathedral. It's quite popular, so I recommend making a reservation. The food is excellent, with a wide selection that includes vegetarian options, and they even provide complimentary crackers. The prawns were fresh and cooked to perfection, while the sauce had a delicate flavor and the noodles were boiled just right. Portions were generous as well. The service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be coming back!
I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and was thoroughly impressed. The food was fantastic and very affordable, and the beer prices were great too! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The garden has a lovely view of the cathedral, and while it was too cold to sit outside yesterday evening, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be on a sunny day. I will definitely be back! We went to the Thai Rack a week ago and we can't stop talking about it. the service was warm but professional, the restaurant is small but airy and well kept. the menu full and the food was sublime. we had the set menu which was heavenly. we've never tasted so many flavours. it was the best Thai I've ever had . just a beautiful experience.
I enjoyed a delicious Thai lunch under the sun, complete with a view of the cathedral. The two-course meal was just £10.95, and I added a couple of Singha beers to make it even better. It was the ideal way to spend a long weekend!
my wife and I have explored the opposite and this was our first restaurant experience in st albans. first, eating is halved and freshly cooked. second, the back garden was sweet and a romantic place to spend with her partner.
Such a good food friendly stuff nice to my dog (just allowed in the garden) the garden is very nice and you have nice view with the church in the background. I ate pat Thai with veggies and tofu. Very good Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Their garden is a must in St Albans only there you can get amazing Thai food with a stunning view of the cathedral!
