Coming here for restaurant week was the best decision my group could have made. I've seen this place in person a few times but never could imagine a small place would pack so much flavor. Everything, and I mean everything we ordered was a hit. Collectively we ordered the basil rasam, CHICKEN 65, lamb chops, shrimp pepper fry, butter chicken, fish curry, goat curry, lamb curry with the additions of garlic naan, butter naan, and crab naan; all of the food was fresh, hot, flavorful and overall satisfying. We love Thanal! We’ve been ordering takeout for ages, but tonight is the first time we came in person. The food is excellent and very authentic and the service is amazing. Tejaswi took great care of us and went above and beyond. The whole staff is wonderful. Our favorite Indian in Philadelphia!! we had to keep to happiness, otherwise we would not have gotten a table at all. the place is quite small, but very popular. eating is authentic and delicious. the service is attentive and fast, but they hurry (even if there are many guests waiting).
Great service, food and atmosphere. We liked everything we ordered like the Gobi Manchurian, chicken 65, Thanal goat curry, lamb karahi, and chicken tikka masala. Our waitress Tejaswi was fantastic! Would highly recommend!

Extremely baller culinary and social experience. Authentic and high quality cuisine like this is such a major asset for the city of Philadelphia. Ask for Tejaswi, she is a delight!
