Atmosphere: It looks and feels like an indie coffee bar in Highland Park. That means it's larger than the Google Maps photos suggest. If one's nose pays attention it will smell the stuffiness of an older Illinois, not French, building, such as a really old public library. That's kind of cool. Service: Mostly younger locals, likely high school aged, work here. They're Highland Park (so better off) Gen Z meaning they're a bit shy but that doesn't mean they don't give decent service. Food: The always mentioned Croque Madame is nothing special. Too much bread and not enough of the rest. The coffee is also meh like. The vibe makes this eatery busier than those two offerings. The pastries however...

They used to have these amazing almond croissants and thats what kept us goimg back there. Not anymore. The croissants are half the size, hard and dry now, not as moist and delicious as before. Whomever made that executive decission it was a very poor one and lost them some business. Not to mention the very poor service, where the server pushes you from behind before you found your table and forces you to grab the 2 cups of coffee from his hands instead of having the patience to wait for you to sit down and them put the coffee on your table and grab the platic order number thingy from you. We had to make that exchange standing up on our way to our table. Extremely unpleasant and unprofessiona...
Food is great! Best quiche around. However, to get an order of Quiche and breakfast potatoes which cost in the $13 range delivered, with the regular Door Dash fees and tip PLUS your $8.99 delivery charge the total charge is just shy of $30. Now you've become unaffordable. Why? Do you just not need the business? Are delivery customers being punished for not coming in? I just can't justify paying the fee. I will miss your food but I'll soon forget and find a new favorite.Vegetarian options: NO
I'm absolutely in love with this place! Their pastries are incredible. The croissants are perfect—super fresh and delightful. The sandwiches and side salads are also excellent. The coffee has a nice strong flavor! I'm especially addicted to the chocolate mousse, which has a thin layer of caramel at the bottom—it's divine! You really can't go wrong here, but be prepared to hunt for a seat on busy weekends! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Highland Park 's PARIS ! You feel like you were in France the moment you enter! The raspberry tart that I gifted my grandma was excellent. There 's nothing second rate about this tart , she exclaimed! I 'm sure the whole patisserie selection are delish! T 'was my 1st time there the place was packed at 8:30am Sunday. Patrons were all excited! Worth the wait! Service: Take out
The pastries here are outstanding! We keep coming back for the fruit tarts, especially the apricot and apple ones—they're the best. The bread is delightful as well. The atmosphere truly resembles a European cafe. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it for a treat. Food rating: 5/5.
An American take on the French pastry and dishes but it’s executed really poorly. While the presentation of pastries/deserts was nice, the taste was very mediocre. I have definitely had better croissants and quiches. The service was nice though.
Cute place. Mediocre service. Ordered croque Madame which is normally all toasted/melted but maybe a new cook? Bread was off centered and cheese wasn't to the edge. It did taste good but just felt rushed thru kitchen.Food: 3/5 Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The restaurant needs more outdoor seating, and by 11:00 am, the raisin croissants were all gone. The kitchen was incredibly hot, and I ended up with blisters on my lips. I'm not very happy with this experience.
