Our server, who was new and understandably still learning, unfortunately didn't meet our expectations. She missed the ice in our drinks, got half of our guests' orders wrong, and even forgot some items completely. When I approached another server for assistance, hoping for a quick resolution, she promptly helped us with drinks and took care of the misunderstood orders. I’m ashamed to say I’ve lived less than a mile away for 5 years and just not tried the Aardvark. The food is delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. We came for Sunday brunch and got the hangover sandwich (pictured) and the steak n eggs (pictured) along with bottomless mimosas. First of all, there is a special place in my heart for a restaurant that knows that a mimosa is 99% champagne and 1% juice (we are rounding up here). First time coming here and I'm so glad I did!They have indoor and outdoor sitting. You walk in and seat yourself and someone comes over to you and gives you a menu. They have a wide variety of beer, wine and seltzers. The craft beer is very unique and different! You can just get up and get your own beer from the fridge, I like that you don't have to wait for anyone to get it for you. Stumbled across this place the other night. Outside looks like it should be a cool place. Inside does too. Nice selection of wine and beers. Wide variety of menu options. The burger was ok. The mahi Ruben was better than ok. Fries were cold and not fresh. Three ladies behind the bar. One was hustling. One looked like an owner/manager and spent most her time chatting with someone that looked like a possible regular. The third one was angry. Fight with the ex, disagreement with landlord, dog ran away. Not sure. But she absolutely 100% never recognized our existence let alone offered any service. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and found a small parking lot in front. If it's busy, you might need to find street parking elsewhere. Upon entering, you can sit wherever you like, as they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. They have beer on tap and a fridge stocked with a variety of beers for you to enjoy. I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings, and they were absolutely delicious and perfectly crispy—not messy or oily like wings from other places. For dessert, we tried the vanilla caramel bread pudding, which was fantastic as well. Everything came out fresh and hot! This was my first visit, but I will definitely be coming back.
Nice place casual place, great beer selection. My food was hit or miss. They have a rotating draft selection featuring beers from around Florida and elsewhere. They have a larger selection of beer bottles in the coolers lined up against the wall. I had their southern catfish Benedict with a side of home fries. I also tried the chicken and biscuits two ways and the hush puppies. Unfortunately the biscuits and the home fries were overcooked. The southern Benedict and the hush puppies were great. We live near this place and have never been. We drove by chance and saw that they served food. So we stayed in and it was nice. It was a nice night, so we ate outside. It seemed pretty quiet, but definitely picked up when we were done. My Hubby and I split a fish Ruben and had two beers and got the bread pudding for the desert. I am definitely thrilled to try her brunch! We'll be back and trust I'll say... This could be our new place.
The restaurant had only two tables, yet it took a long time for someone to come over to us. Our water glasses were never refilled, and our order wasn't taken in a timely manner. Nice little neighborhood joint. Good craft beer selection, both to drink there or to take home from the cooler. They also have a small wine store section to drink or take home. Eclectic menu, with different offerings that you don’t often find elsewhere. A few tvs and a bar for those who want to catch a game and have a drink. Worth a visit.
