I was excited to visit The Alchemist with my girlfriend as we both enjoy craft cocktails. The drinks were great, the chupacabra was delicious! Instead of going to Minneapolis, it was nice to potentially have a place 5 minutes away we could frequent. The wait staff were pleasant when helping us find a spot. A friend and myself walked in Tuesday night 11/8 around 6:45pm. Noticed there was no one in the entire restaurant/ bar except for a red head man behind the bar and worked, darker in color gal sitting at the end of the bar toward the kitchen. Super awkward right when we walked in asked if they were open and they said unfortunately they were. Attitude from the gal was terrible and we kind of took our seats at the bar slowly as we felt so unwelcomed I said are you sure you 're open we understand if you want to close early we work at another restaurant in the area. I would rate in the top 5 worst places to go. The bartender was beyond rude. I asked for a water to start out with while I decided what I wanted. He responds it 's over there, a jug filled with water so I had to get it myself. My fiance asked if they serve food at the bar, and his response was, You can eat at any bar in any restaurant in any State. Than we proceeded to ask for a drink, Such as Bacardi, or any type of Rums. His response was, Have you even looked at our menu, I 'm sure you can find something on there. We were looking for a simple cocktail to start out with. Beyond rude, no personality. Definitely will not be returning. So if you like Rude customer service go to The Alchemist....
Went tonight with my son, hostess was actively walking us to the bar to seat us when a couple came in a different door after us. The hostess promptly turned her back to us and seated the other couple before us at the bar leaving 2 spots left… if that wasn’t rude enough the hostess said to the couple on the other side of us “oh these guys are going to sit at the bar next to you…”. Really? So rude. I’ve been here numerous times but thought my son would love it. Well 2 drinks $32 later we left. My son tipped 7.00 but shouldn’t have…. Very disappointed….

Fall in love with this place! A group of 6 of us stopped in planning to have a handful of different cocktails and food each. We left after a drink because of the super rude and respectful woman barkeeper. We all came here often, none of us will come back until she's gone.
This place is so cool! I love Steampunk everything and this bar is it! Amazing decor and my drink was truly unforgettable. It was the COATLICUE. (don't ask me to say it). But I loved it and would certainly go back.
A unique atmosphere. Website menu is not up to date. I went there to have a salty caramel cocktail, and the female bartender told me it wasn't in 5 years. Hopefully you can update your current menu on the website.
This place is great! Funky and eccentric. Service is great. Food is limited. Pizza and apps but not a problem, just their vibe. Highly recommend for cocktails and finger foods. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
