Picture a hostile, velvet rope-wielding, shallow meathead bouncer you might find at a nightclub in Miami or LA. Now imagine that same attitude in a petite 5’3’’ woman with a prominent nose ring - that’s what you’ll encounter at Alembic. I understand the need to keep a clear path for serving tables and to maintain a certain atmosphere, but there’s a way to do it with grace. Unfortunately, the hostess at Alembic ruined a friend’s party by implementing an absurd door policy. Leaving a guest outside without her coat because the bar was supposedly full (on a Tuesday night) is just unacceptable. The bar tenders are friendly and the drinks are high quality. The service is great! I loved trying their seasonal drink, "Who Loves the Sun?" It was beautiful and delicious, made with gin. Don't be put off by the egg whites. It comes in a smaller glass, but packs a boozy punch. It's foamy but well-balanced with sweetness, and it's pink! Overall, I had a delightful experience at this bar and would highly recommend it!
This place would be so amazing if their were any attention to service. No one greets you when you walk in. You don't know if you're supposed to seat yourself, order at the bar, etc. There are no servers and no clear directions so it's a confusing experience. I think their drinks are great and interesting but it's an overall disappointing experience. Service matters and it really makes an experience.
This is probably the place to go for higher end cocktails in the neighborhood. The space is nice and laid out well. My favorite is the front space in the room to the right with the checker boards. It tends to be spoken for though. Definitely stop by for a drink when in the neighborhood. Great friendly service as well.

I visited this place on a friday and it was decently packed. I really liked the vibe as it was dimly lit with some real candles and cook books with indoor plants adorning the walls beside your tables. The drinks were reasonably priced and my seasonal cocktail called somewhere on a beach was really good!
This cocktail bar is the perfect spot for handcrafted cocktails made with high-quality ingredients. The menu is constantly changing, offering surprises for your taste buds. The staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the drinks they serve. The food is also delicious.
Would have loved to stayed here and eaten but the waitress literally barked at my adult children all above 21 for their ID before she saw me . A legitimate ask but there is a polite way and a rude way….. she chose the latter. Manners cost nothing .
This restaurant always offers a great variety of cocktails and food choices. Make sure to arrive early if you want a table in the back. The food is exceptional, with a rating of 5 out of 5.

Great beer selection, incredible pub food menu (as in super bougie), and good vibes. The cocktail was pretty weak (booze and flavor wise), which is odd because that’s their thing.
