the anchor hotel is an absolute joy, not only good food, all the drink they could ask, beautiful staff and a wonderful environment, but a fantastic contribution to the economy and employment prospects for our wonderful little fishing village. plus walls full of outstanding artist of our community. I can't wait to have my 60th birthday! never was a best hotel award better deserved.
sat with my sister maureen on 15th april 2018. friendly reception and service from the moment we went. the food we ordered was both delicious and very full, absolutely no skipping on portion size. when I talk to friends about the fact that the guy is always the first place I mentioned. I feel proud of what the personal and my village deliver.
today for lunch and found it excellent. my friend had the seafood plate and was most impressed by the fresh and quality. I know it was a hot day, but I had the nice broth that was amazing. one of the great things is that it is dog friendly, so the pooch had lunch and his own bowl water. well made anchor hotel, hope to be back soon.
again another amazing eating on the anker! we go regularly, but on the last Sunday we decided to try out the new menu, I had lasagne and it was by far the best I cost, I would definitely recommend! yesterday evening to my daughter birthday meal and without fail the meal was amazing!!
