I have to preface this with the fact that i have been going to the anchor inn with my family since i was a kid. Personally, I feel like the anchor inn is a place where people that go have been going for YEARS. Most people that go here know the owner Joe and his late wife Ginny. Often, when going to the anchor inn, you can expect to be here for a long time. This is not a place that will rush you- which is why we prefer to go with family, as you're able to not feel rushed. I absolutely adore this restaurant, but unfortunately it has been sold to new owners and will be closing soon. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and have always enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service. It is truly heartbreaking to see it go. I highly recommend trying the Pepperoni Pizza, Ravioli Parmigiana, and Mozzarella Sticks. The price per person is typically between $10 and $20 for dinner.

9 good reviews on their chicken Parm made us want to try. Frozen Chicken patties smothered in cheese is NOT good chicken Parm. The ziti had peppercorn in it and the noodles were stuck together in clumps. Service was good, food was not worth the trip. This place has been there for a very long time! The inside is a little dated but the good food sure does make up for it! The hot sauce is done correctly .. Simmered for a long time, didn't just have red pepper thrown in it! The portions are large and come with pasta or potatoes! The chicken Parm and shrimp francese were fantastic!
This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I was disappointed to learn that they will be closing soon. Despite this, I decided to try the lasagna and I was extremely pleased with my choice. The portion size was substantial, the dish was served piping hot, and it was absolutely delicious.

Absolutely one of the best places around. Prices are more than fair for fantastic food. Excellent pizzas their shrimp parm is one of my favorite meals!
Chicken parm is where it's at!!!!!!! Laid back simple atmosphere- nothing fancy- but the chicken parm is great!
