The salt and pepper chicken was my firm favourite until I had the Tempura prawns yesterday. Fresh fish delivered on a Friday and the prawns were large and so fresh with a lovely crispy batter. Have previously had quite a few items off the small plates menu and would recommend them all: Halloumi fries/ Cheesy garlic bread/ Chicken wings/Loaded Nachos as well as the Tempura Prawns Salt and Pepper Chicken. DID NOT HONOUR PARKING REFUND PROMISE 10/11/22 We (2 CAR) visitors parked in the [FREE parking if making a purchase-Mariner cafe car park while attending the marina boatyard to have boat work carried out. Purchased x2 car park tickets and purchased £11.50 worth of bar&grill drinks and food only to be told by the person at the till [manager on the day that he would not redeem both parking tickets (as promised on the pay point £5 trans 1 x ticket refunded) for both cars as it was too much trouble!! So beware of that when parking or visiting the place, it's too much trouble for the #Liverpool_Marina #Bar&Grill to honour their promises! Cant really rate the food, didnt get to have any, whats the point having lunch menu start at 12 if I cant order at 10 past.. then to be told to sit down and I can be served at the table however I look up at 20 past and there 15 people in the queue at the bar getting served before me. I appreciate it was busy but I should of been seen too earlier, why Can someone not order at 10 past 12 regardless of whether the breakfasts are still going out, I was happy to wait. But then 15 peoples orders go through before mine although id been sat in there waiting for half an hour. Not a good service Got a pot noodle from the shop, took me 2 minutes. Not what I wanted but im hungry and in a rush.
Beer and Cider was cold and lovely. The Anchor Burger and Chicken Burgers along with the fries were fried to within 1mm of their lives. They were awful the salad was passed it's best. We have eaten their quiet frequently over the last 5 years. Under the New Management calling the bar the Anchor the standard has dropped. This is a new low now. I would never recommend it to anyone and will never return. Shame used to be a lovely place for a quite lunch.

Came to stay in marina carpark overnight, came here for food after a long day and was lovely, staff were so friendly. I also left my handbag there and didn’t noticed for a good few hours but when I went back in the young girl must have been waiting for me to come in and gave it to me as soon as she saw me. So lovely and helpful couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people. Thanks so much!
Went for breakfast on saturday. There were only 4 people in when we got there. The wrong drinks and food were brought to our table. My latte was luke warm and sent back. We waited 40 minutes for food that was barely warm so we all left most of it and left. Never to return!
Fresh cold drinks, good food and polite staff. Very pleasurable experience. On top of it, this time the weather was brilliant...
We were in Liverpool for a few days,this place is a hidden gem and well worth a visit.
