I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I had booked a table over the phone on Thursday for Saturday, but upon arrival, my booking was not on the system. Despite the place being nearly empty, we were only offered a limited bar menu instead of the full restaurant menu. The starters were okay, but my main dish was not as described on the menu. When I brought this to the attention of the owner/manageress, she responded with a dismissive attitude, saying she had written it wrong and asked if I still wanted it or if she should take it away. The meal was excellent, decent portions for a great Sunday roast lunch. Good quality and very reasonable prices.The staff was friendly but not intrusive, which means you can have a quiet conversation with your friends. The decor is not much, but I honestly didn't mind. The food quality and cooking completely made up for it in my opinion.I will come back.
Booked for an overnight stay in May. The Angel sent an email to cancel our booking. No reason given have tried calling several times with no reply but when you go online it says its open. Can anyone shed light on this please. Are they actually still open?
Fabulous Christmas Eve lunch. Then wandered passed New Year's day. Went in for coffee and ended up having lunch again. Sausage and mash delicious. Treacle pudding and custard even better. Thank you for welcoming us in. Never walk pass always walk in.

Stayed overnight in one of their double rooms while attending an event at Quay Theatre, which is just around the corner. Great communication, friendly owner and lovely clean rooms. Would highly recommend. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
The restaurant offers a good quality of food with a decent selection to choose from.
Very very expensive for a soft drink and a coffee. So shocked will not return
