The Angel At Woodbridge

We are new to the area and recently discovered the Angel. They offer a very good selection of ales and lager beers from draught, but their specialty must be their gin tonics. The lady who served us was very enthusiastic about the selection of gins and tonics, and made some excellent recommendations based on our taste. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the week after. We were welcomed back and the staff remembered what drinks we had during our previous visit. That is a level of service that I do not experience often. Recommended!

Great pub. The landlord is a lovely chap who was terribly welcoming even when we walked in with two kidsand a dog, interrupting the chat with regulars. Lots of local beers and craft ales plus hundreds of gins which they mix with pride using fresh ingredients such as pomegranate seeds. For the record they've been doing this since before it got trendy. No food, but there's a food truck in the courtyard outside 9-12 evenings, that we didn't sample,but menu looked interesting.

Lovely traditional pub that is full of character complete with real wood burning fire. Charismatic staff who are very welcoming and helpful with choices of beverage. Great variety of ales, including it's own brew and a fantastic choice of over 100 gins, which are all paired perfectly with garnish and mixer. Definitely aa gem within Woodbridge and look forward to my next visit.

small cozy pub. owner Bar-Tender has about 100 different gins behind the bar and beer to pull and hahn. I'm not a big fan of gin, but if you want.

large historical pub, good beer and gin options. friendly staff, good central location on the marketplace.
