Of all the lovely little coffee shops and restaurants in St. Paul de Vence, The Artiste is one of the most adorable! Just a few tables inside the walls of the city, the ambiance is very nice. It's theme is movie stars and Hollywood but the wine list is excellent. And in keeping with the theme, it's the only place I saw Angelina Jolie's French-made wine listed. I had the dessert sampler and every bite was divine. We also had crepes and they were simply fantastic. The staff is professional if a bit aloof but the water, coffee, wine is great and flows abundantly and very reasonably priced. I would dine here every day if I could.
Travelling as a coeliac I was nervous about how to ensure a gluten-free meal. However, here at The Artiste, all of the savoury crêpes are made from buckwheat flour, so I had a huge choice!!! On my third and final visit I also asked for a buckwheat sweet crêpe which was delicious. They served a variety of desserts and at least one was specifically gluten-free.I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! And ask for a seat outside, beautiful breeze and a greta view down the opposite pathway.
A small restaurant in St Paul de Vence, the tables are mostly set in a covered passage, the crepes were excellent. My husband's curried chicken crepe as very tasty and well made. My ham and cheese crepe was exactly what I wanted. We had a nice glass of wine, and the service was friendly and helpful. I have recommended it to other visitors we ran into, and would love to go back again.
Four of us wandering around little side streets came across this delightful restaurant and enjoyed savoury buckwheat Crepes, Onion soup and Bollywood salad.Friendly service, tasty food and quaint location surrounded by artistic paraphernalia including named directors chairs worked so well that we will definitely return next time we are in this part of the world.

Visited St Paul de Vence last week and had coffee at L'artist and decided to have an early lunch - both my husband and I chose crepes which were very well filled with ham and reblochon - delicious - the only downside was that 'madam' was not very friendly and could not raise a smile - however the young waiter was very pleasant indeed.
On a very hot day in Saint Paul de Vence, it was great to find somewhere cool and reasonably priced to eat. The galettes were tasty and good value, with a wide choice of fillings to pick from. Definitely recommended for a casual lunch.
Quirky restaurant / creperie, just a stones throw from the cathedral. In door eating area, but some tables under a medieval arch/ passage -great on a hot day. Can highly recommend the creps and they offer a gluten free option.
Inexpensive and tasty pit stop. I had the dish of the day which was a tasty fish pie speciality 'Brandade de Morue Maison'. There are so many restaurants here, but recommend if you stumble across.

The service was lovely and attentive, the lunch was delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful. We would gladly return here in a heartbeat.
Union soup and crepes with and without gluten. Nice place and nice personel. Small but efficient. Good price.
