The Bagel Shop is only one of the cafes and restaurants I've enjoyed on the Boulevard in the lovely Town of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. I moved here in June of 2022 and have been enjoying exploring this Town and discovering restaurants, shops, also the Municipal Building with the wonderful library within it as well as senior center, free notary and more. My favorite restaurants are Fisher's Cafe, The Bagel Shop, Sophia's Mediterranean Grill, K&G Coffee Cafe, Heights Pizza, and the Ivy Inn. There are more restaurants and cafes that look worth going to and I will soon be checking them out. The Bagel Shop is incredibly friendly and reasonably priced. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area, and the staff is more pleasant than at most other places. I often pre-order and pick up my food since it’s conveniently located just across the street or a few blocks away. Their bagels are just as good as the ones I had in Manhattan for 20 years, and it's a delight to enjoy a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese that truly reminds me of the Jersey Shore. I really appreciate this place; the only downside is that they close at 4:00 PM instead of later, which can be tough when I don’t feel like waking up early to get dressed. However, I assume they open at 5:00 AM for those who do want an early star...
Stopped in a few times to pick up bagels. The first time, I used it to make a breakfast sammie to bring on a super early flight the next day. It wasn't great. The next time, I made another breakfast sammie but this time ate it fresh and it was pretty good. Not sure it's as good as NYC bagels but it will do. Next time, I think I'll have them make the breakfast sammie, or perhaps try a breakfast burrito. The sandwiches for lunch sound pretty good too.

The food is excellent, but it's the guy behind the counter who makes the experience even better. When I visited for the first time, it was enjoyable, but when I returned for a second visit, he remembered exactly how I liked my eggs—without ketchup. It's those little details that keep customers like me coming back for more.
As a colored business owner I will not recommend other colored customers to come to this bagel shop as it has discriminated my family for not serving us in a timely manner in which we have waited 1 1/2 hour for $25 bagel order my daughter was very hungry and wife unacceptable and bad service.
I absolutely love the bagels! The owner is incredibly kind, and the staff is very friendly. Since I’ve recently gone gluten-free, I found everyone to be very accommodating. There's a fantastic selection of breakfast and lunch choices.
Good collection of Bagels and Creamcheese. Tried everything toasted with tuna and jalapeño cream cheese with lettuce and tomato in between . Fantastic .
