The Bake Shoppe and Cafe, owned by Melissa and led by head Chef Nazario, catered our wedding in the Round Top area on October 7th and surpassed all of our expectations. We wanted a non-traditional wedding dinner and were lucky to have been referred to Melissa by a friend. Melissa guided us through the menu options and even invited us for a tasting at the shop. We chose caprese skewers, deviled eggs, sweet potato/black bean/feta quesadillas, loaded red potatoes, chicken and sausage jambalaya, and a garden salad with her famous Sweet Connie's dressing. The cutest hidden gem!! We’ve visited several times for lunch, but my mom hosted a bridal shower for me this weekend and the staff was so kind and accommodating. The cake was beautiful (and delicious! . We had the bacon deviled eggs, tomato and mozzarella skewers, chicken salad sandwiches and fruit and it was all amazing along with an assortment of desserts. Highly recommend for your next shower or event!
I always make sure to stop at this Houston restaurant when I'm in town - it's one of my favorites! I love getting the sandwich combo with their delicious chicken salad sandwich, paired with a side of broccoli and cheddar soup (although they didn't have it today, the tomato basil soup was still tasty), and a salad. The bread they serve is top notch!
This restaurant is a great spot for brunch. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They offer a wide selection of breakfast and lunch options, including delicious pastries.
