The Baker And The Cakemaker

Today, while visiting Auburn, I stopped by The Baker the Cakemaker and was pleasantly surprised to find gluten-free brownies, blueberry muffins, cheese puffs, and even an 8-inch chocolate raspberry vegan gluten-free cake! The texture was fantastic—moist and delicious! However, it's important to note that due to shared display cases, there is a risk of cross-contamination. UPDATE: If you have celiac disease or a wheat allergy, I cannot recommend eating here. I ended up feeling very sick after having a gluten-free blueberry muffin. Ordered a berry roll and a brownie, and also got a loaf of rosemary Meyer lemon sourdough loaf. Got to the register and the lights went out...there was also a line out the door, but they kept going and had a case full of baked goods. Cash worked at thetime, register worked, but no wifi. The items we purchased were all delicious and we will go back again when we are in Auburn!Thank you and yum!!

I ordered red velvet and chocolate raspberry cupcakes with buttercream frosting for my son's 7th birthday. We were really looking forward to them, but we were quickly let down. These were, without a doubt, the worst cupcakes we've ever had. I spent $70 on 24 cupcakes, and unfortunately, I had to throw them away. I won't make this mistake again.

I'm really glad I live too far away to visit this place every day, or I’d be as round as a barrel! The snail pastries here are absolutely top-notch, featuring a buttery, flaky texture, plump raisins, and a wonderfully sticky, almost caramelized base. I always enjoy this place for their scones and the quality of their food. However, if you're hungry, I wouldn't recommend ordering the hipster toast. It's delicious, but you get only a very thin layer of avocado and half the portion you'd get with their sandwiches, all for the same price.

The food here is absolutely amazing and incredibly fresh. The ingredients are perfectly balanced, and the ratio of meat to other components is just right. For bread lovers, they offer fresh bread daily. The cakes and pastries are delicious as well, and they change every day!
