I went for a quick lunch today and will never go back. I ordered a cheese and onion toastie on brown bread but waited 20 minutes only to be brought a cheese and ham toastie instead. I sent it back as it wasn't what we ordered and finally received the correct cheese and onion toastie. However, the cheese was barely there and the bread was hardly toasted at all. I sent it back again and refused to pay for it. They offered to make the same thing again but I declined. This was the worst light lunch I have ever had. We visited for a low-key birthday lunch and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, as well as efficient. Our mum is 89 and uses a wheelchair and the staff went to great lengths to make it easy for us to access the restaurant using a portable ramp. (We had phoned ahead). Our food was very tasty and good value. The staff even gave me a wee cake with ‘happy birthday’ on the plate, plus a birthday card! What a nice surprise and a very thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend this cafe restaurant.
Lovely High Tea , we had Haddock and chips delicious crispy batter and lovely flaky fresh fish, also the homemade steak and ale pie , no soggy bottom to the pastry . Delicious, perfect sized scones and fancy piece. Very good service , nice, polite and friendly young ladies serving us and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend and we will be back.
We popped in here for a much needed break on a trip and we were immediately made very welcome. We hadn’t time for lunch however the coffee and cake were very good, the service excellent and everything, including the toilets was very clean I was impressed it takes a lot! and the next time we are over in that direction we will definitely make time for lunch!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic and the food is top-notch. I tried the local battered haddock, which was beautifully presented and a great deal for the price.
Enjoyed a fresh delicious brunch at The Bank. Five star service from June genuinely warm, welcoming highly professional. Look forward to our next visit.
Once again, June came up trumps! Despite being busy, June found us a table and made sure we were well looked after. Lovely food and great service.
Went for the high tea this Sunday and the food was amazing lovely cakes, good and friendly service as well. Will come back again
