I had recently visited the Banyan Tree restaurant in Peterborough centre and I was impressed with the authenticity of the cuisine: it was truly delicious! Tonight I decided to try Werrington Banyan Tree for a takeaway. We were delighted with an authentic tasting chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh. This restaurant used to be our favorite place to eat, but it has significantly declined in quality. We brought a birthday cake for dessert, but ended up taking it home because the experience was so unpleasant. We had to sit in the cold with our coats on, and the food was only lukewarm and mediocre. We waited almost an hour between courses. While I understand that staff shortages can be challenging for restaurant owners, the subpar service and dining experience we had were unacceptable. This experience was enough to remove this once outstanding restaurant from our list of go-to places.
The food is amazing, great flavours and portion sizes are really good, cooked with love, we had a selection of vegetarian food from the menu, presentation was beautiful, and prices are reasonable high quality food for a good price. I would highly recommend this restaurant, the atmosphere was relaxed yet felt vibrant. Very clean, standards are extremely high. The service was exemplary, staff were very friendly and attentive to customers needs. Great choice of cocktails and drinks. All round an amazing evening had, will definitely be back and recommend to family and friends.

We had booked to celebrate birthdays .The food was so authentic and sooooo tasty . Every dish had a different taste .The cuisine reminded me of higher end restaurants in Mumbai . The food was a very good value ,added extras to make it special for the Birthday girls .it was pure vegetarian meal for us .if the vegetarian meal was so tasty non veg will be just as good . Thank you so much Piyuesh ,Prinyanka ,Chef and all the staff for looking after us . Highly recommended if you like authentic Indian cuisine.
Upon arrival, there was a short wait as the host finished a phone call. Not all of the draft beers were available on tap. Bottled Pepsi was priced higher than expected. The popadoms and pickle tray were enjoyable. The Lamb Ghoste dish was tender and perfectly spiced. The Chicken Korma was creamy, though the chicken was slightly tough. The Chicken Madras was tasty. The restaurant had limited rice options but the garlic naan was delicious. I will definitely return for the excellent food.
Found it on the web and as it was just walking distance from our hotel we gave it a go. About half seven, we were the only customers (another couple arrived later) Waitress was very friendly, menu was interesting We had starters and mains plus some naan Really excellent food it took some time to arrive so freshly made? The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing every time we dine in or get takeout. I can confidently say that it's the best curry I've ever tasted. Since moving to Werrington, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The dishes are always freshly made to order with no cutting corners. It's pure quality! The staff are also very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Visited on a Sunday night which was quiet. Piyush was very friendly as always gave us a warm welcome. Food was nice as always, much prefer this cosy restaurant to the one in town. Well done everyone keep up the good work
