Barking Dog Alehouse is a restaurant and bar right off 8th in Ballard, nestled into a side road so definitely of the beaten path. They have some seating outside with heaters and coverage, plus lots of seating inside at tables or the bar. They have a bunch of TVs and a good sized menu of food and drinks. With weekly specials, there's always something new to try. They are dog friendly inside, and baby friendly as well. The staff is so nice, quick to help, and although the food is a bit pricey at smaller portions, it's delicious. Definitely a great local spot to try out.
Was in the middle of my first run in forever on my first day back to exercising but as soon as I passed by this place I had to stop for a stout because I 'm an adult and I can do that, and I 'm glad I did. The drink was great and they have Tuesday Trivia nights that I happened to drop in on! Fun crowd! Bartenders were friendly too so as a impromptu solo drinker I felt comfortable at the bar, so I 'll definitely be dropping by my next 'exercise ' run through here again! Great spot :
Really liked this place. I was in many years ago just for drinks but a group of us stopped by for food Easter sunday. I had possibly the best burger I've had in a very long time! Bourbon burger with bacon with blue cheese fries. SERIOUSLY GOOD burger. Everyone else rated their food highly. Staff were all on form, quick drinks and great service. Will be back for sure
I always have a great time at this restaurant. I typically order a burger, but this time I tried the pizza. Unfortunately, there was too much cheese and not enough sauce for my liking. However, the other menu items are excellent. My friend really enjoyed her steak and fries. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5.

The restaurant has a great menu and taplist, including the famous Pliny beer, despite being located in a quiet neighborhood. They utilize QR codes for ordering and payment, but we did notice that some tables received traditional table service. Overall, we would rate the food 5 out of 5.
highly recommend this place! The date night pizza was incredible and the service was great. The food took a while, because they burned our first pizza. But they gave us the pizza for free because of it. We left very happy given the quality and service.Food: 5/5
I love this place. I could bring my puppy and the food is delicious. Other people are great.I don't love that you have to order on your phone from a QR code and then pay 25% tip. But it's worth it! As I said, the people are great, and the food is delicious
