The Barley Mow Stittsville

we decided to try another situation of barley. Friday, 4.2022 March at midday we arrived. a very pleasant but busy server. I ordered Friday fish and chips special. meal was supplied by a male, possibly manager, I checked for food temperature, and to my surprise friries were not even warm, then I noticed that the generally contained wetar was missing, I tried to make eye contact with server but not. I noticed that men on shamrocks, I went past to mention my thinking, he left and on table new order pommes and wetar sauce, he never talked, we piad our bill with gift card. when we left the same, he went to us, as he never spoke. First time here. Food was good. It's a bit pricey though. For myself there wasn't much of interest to me on the menu. There was my Mom and myself and it cost Mom just over $50 for the 2 of us. That consisted of 2 meals an order of fries. No drinks no desserts. No steak either. Service was awesome but food was average.. Not quite what you would expect for the cost of eating there. For instance my meal consist of a bacon cheeseburger with both regular bacon and peameal bacon and toppings with side of French fries was $19.50 before taxes. That to me was A little expensive for a burger and fries.

I had dinner here with my mother who has a sweet and clam allergy. her order had been on it and she asked that they make it without the mandule. no problem! the next thing we know that a very friendly and apologetic manager appears on our table. he explained that before the time they did everything (as most restaurants) and that he could not guarantee that they had never seen a mandel. he stayed at our table and prepared a meal for my mother so she could eat! what a great place! 1 star to not better food control first place, but 4 star service.

I'm here with friends for lunch. He was here at 1245, and the place was completely dead, which was our first track to get out of here. we went to sit down and the waitress came to our table after about 10 minutes and she was not terribly pleasant. very curly and short with us in general. I ordered the wings and the fries, and the food came out after 20 minutes, and the wings were cold and felt like they were stale. they were not very fresh. my mother ordered the calamari that she did not like. we will not return to this place. went to 10 ¢ wing night and was informed when I called that as long as I drink, then the wings are 10 ¢ each. but when I came there, the waitress said they can only order 8 wings per drink. this was not told me when I called and nowhere on the website said it was only 8 wings per drink. what a wrong job is that!

my wallet on st. pattys lost at night. only had a beer. he realized it the next morning. all employees were great to look and to take information john was the hero. I found it and gave it to our house. he and barley mow. super. just great. . there are many paintings and always great service and eating.

Absolutely love this place! Hands down best fish chips in town. Good prices, great service and friendly people! John and his staff always make sure to go over and above to take care of us.
