The Barn Restaurant And Bar

We visited this restaurant last summer and returned again in August. We had a great experience both times. The restaurant is well set up for social distancing. The food is excellent and offers good value for money. Everything was fresh and served piping hot. We started with a generous portion of appetizers. The staff was very attentive, with waiters quickly clearing plates, taking orders, and bringing out additional drinks. The restaurant has a nice indoor dining area, though there is limited outdoor seating. The atmosphere is beautiful and there is a playground for children and plenty of parking spaces available.

The food and atmosphere at Cologin were amazing. We dined in the bar three nights last week and tried almost everything on the menu with a group of four. My favorites were the mussels (the best in Oban), the venison stew, the steak, and the perfectly cooked onion rings. Everything was fresh and homemade, leaving us all with happy bellies. Julie was incredibly helpful and hospitable, and Angus is a talented chef. I can't wait to return to try their new dishes. I would give Cologin a perfect 10/10 rating.

wonderful escaping atmosphere, we spent last week at cologin ate in the bar 3 night rehearsal most of the menu between 4 of us. highlights for me were the mosques (the best in oban), the venison stew the steak the tweetle rings were perfection everything was fresh to home made it was very happy bellie around julie could not have been helpful again and angus 10/10

we were a tour group of around 18 people and I think everyone really enjoyed their dinner here. my meal was an absolutely tasty dish of local muscheln as an appetizer and a most attractive looking and tasting ratatouille tart and kartoffeln for entree. we were a tour group of around 18 people and I think everyone really enjoyed their dinner here. my meal was an absolutely tasty dish of local muscheln as an appetizer and an attractive looking and tasting ratatouille tart and kartoffeln for entree. this local pub has the most friendly owner and such a fun young staff.

We had a lovely family dinner at the barn tonight, our first visit since the management change last year. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious! Highly recommended.
