We chose The Bear Hotel for a 2 night stay as we were travelling to visit the Weald and Downland Living Museum as part of a 70th birthday celebration. We were a party of 8 and all very happy with our rooms and hotel service. The beds are so big and comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had rooms without breakfast but decided to book for the second morning. There was plenty of choice for those in our party who just had the continental option and the pastries were delicious and fresh. I and my partner came to stay in the bear a few weeks ago, it was close to his family that was perfect. we stayed before and how before the service, personal and eating were unreaaal. although the room was immaculately clean. it really needs something tlc. I wish greeneking would give this place a renovation that the amazing staff they have there!
Absolutely outstanding food. Fantastic service and honestly everyone should try this place. We have tried so many places and this tops them all. The roast was absolutely outstanding
