This is worth taking a few minutes to share some positive feedback. Stumbled upon The Belisize Public House. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and given the option to pick a table. Water served within minute of being seated and order for drinks was taken shortly after. (People in the restaurant business this is how you do it).Decided to start off with the shrimp as an appertizer (unbelievably tasty and well done). Fun fact, there were 6 shrimps perfect amount for 2 nothing worst than going out and being served 5 schrimps for 2 people. Followed by the Smoked Trout salad very good and a side of Sweet patato fries...the latter had us raving about it. By far the best Swee...
First time having lunch at this pub, it kind of has your typical pub feel but it is not like an English pub. I would say the best thing at this establishment is the value/proportions they serve. For the amount you pay, the sizes are huge, I could barely eat the entire plate. I got a jerk pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. There is nothing too special, just really simple, comforting food and big portions. Although my friend had one brunch item, I think it was called Eggs Purgatory, it was quite unique and looked really good. If I go back, I would get that.
I had brunch at this restaurant today, on September 16th. The Brunch breakfast of two eggs had more food than the Eggs Benedict. I added a delicious homemade compote on multigrain toast. The meal was good, but there was too much food for me. The interior decor was interesting. The restaurant is kid-friendly, as a family with well-behaved young boys enjoyed their lunches. The male wait staff was attentive, but the elderly waitress threw a dirty cloth she used to wipe down tables into the Coca Cola box that held the menus.
Considering that this is just a pub and not a particularly new-age elevated one, the food is surprisingly excellent. The service is very friendly and quick, and on good weather days, the patio is also quite pleasant. I'd have the fried chicken sandwich as comfort food any time.
Had a lovely dinner at the Belsize! Had the lamb shank special and was blown away. Excellent recommendation from our super friendly, amazing server (didn’t catch her name, but the red hair girl)! Service was excellent and patio was great on a nice night.
I absolutely adore this classic neighborhood pub for its surprisingly delicious freshly made food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. It's truly a gem.
Jayda is a great conversationalist and bartender! Great caesars, and I love the local feel of the place. Reminds me of being at a cottage
The Belize is one of our favourite casual dining spots. Great food, always attentive service, and we love the outdoor seating area.
The service was fantastic. The crispy chicken sandwich, yam fries, and cocktails were all excellent in this laid-back atmosphere.
