I did not stay at the hotel but went to both the restaurant and the pub. Hot chocolate from the restaurant side was like dishwater, really bad. We then went to the pub and the decor was run down, atmosphere was more of a coffee shop with locals constantly hanging around and in the way. The most shocking though was 2 pints cost £9 which for location and service/establishment is way overpriced. Maybe a nice place for locals and perhaps the prices are lower for them too but with so many options out there nowadays I will give this place a miss next time.
Disgusting dirty hotel with an incredibly rude bunch of staff!! Particularly the manager Mark. This place is not child friendly infact its not even adult friendly its only good for the drunks and desperados. The hotel is not hygienic because it is not cleaned properly. Do not waste your money, go and spend an extra £20 and stay somewhere 100 times nicer than this rotten flea pit!!! Rooms: 1
Had a great stay and dinner. Staff were so friendly. Food was delicious and the portions are huge! Rooms are nice, Clean and tidy. Tea/coffee was very well stocked! I had my 3 year old child with me and there was a little noise from the courtyard but nothing more than I would expect for a Saturday night in a pub! She still managed to get to sleep easy! Would definitely come back. Rooms: 5
Didn't stay in Royal Oak but had a meal with a couple of friends had a REALY GREAT MEAL we all had the BURGERS with cheese bacon and fries the BURGERS were PROBABLY the BEST I've had they R VERY VERY TASTY s were GREAT and the waitress was very professional and NICE THANKS WILL B BACK

very friendly, excellent garlic mushrooms, duck orange and peri peri huhn. recommend dinner, rooms also beautiful.
