I have been to the Blake House to eat several times with family and friends, though may think twice before returning for a meal. Ordered a Cobb salad tonight that included avocado so hard that it couldn't be pierced by a fork. I'm not one to send food back but that was kind of ridiculous. Why not just replace it with another ingredient? Or ask if I'd like to change my order because not all ingredients are available? Don't serve something that you know is inedible. Instead I had to step out of my comfort zone and have to ask for it to be replaced. But then it wasn't replaced and my meal wasn't discounted or anything. Our small office (12 people) in the financial district, often uses the Blake House to cater our business lunches. The menu is flexible and the prices are great. Our lunches have ranged from grilled salmon with a quinoa pilaf, to roasted chicken with ratatouille, to a selection of sandwiches. Everything is included, bread and artisanal butter, salad, dressing, plates, cutlery, napkins, and delivery. I have tried other providers and nothing else even comes close in terms of value, quality of the food, service, and convenience. Just one call to Jimmy and the whole thing is done and dusted.
This is our local pub and it's always great. In June, we hosted three parties there; two for Tony's birthday and one for my retirement. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect for us, as we knew they would.We love this place and recommend it to anyone who is looking for something special in a local friendly environment.
We went here for my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff couldn't have been better, and the food was amazing. All around I would highly recommend this place for any sort of event. I think it was fairly reasonably priced too. I believe it was around 20 people or so and it was just under 2000 dollars.

Met up with family for a chance to chat and have dinner. We have many special dietary preferences but the menu was extensive enough to accomodate everyone's needs. We started out on the patio but had to move in from the rain. All in all, a good meal with reasonable pricing.
Met up with friends for dinner and had an amazing meal. Great service and cute patio. Steaks were fab (think it was the best I've had) with deilish mashed potatoes and salad. Food was so good and well prepared that I am planning to go back.
Great place with a patio, in agoof location, good food (we had canadian club sandwich with salad plus wrap with salad - both delicious), nice and kind staff. Enjoy!
Nice outdoor patio. Fast service. Chicken pot pie was excellent. Calamari was particularly good. Dessert was a homemade mixed berry crumble. Excellent

Had dinner tonight. The pork tenderloin special was out of this world! Great service, lovely atmosphere, a really comfortable place
The burgers and fries were good. The calamari not so good. The patio is nice and the service was great!
