The setting for this restaurant is superb in a large room inside the old part of Thorsby hall, the room has been restored to its original décor. There is a nice lounge bar next door were you can have a drink as you pursue the menu. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu the wine and the history of the building. All parts of the meal were outstanding although not cheap it is well worth the cost. All five of us where too full to have a sweet but they were quite happy to supply two cheese boards between us. I would like to thank all the restaurant and kitchen staff for a very memorable night.
Really great experience from start to finish. The food was spectacular particularly the posh lobster fish finger . The fairground attraction dessert was an experience all of its own and the service was second to none. We had a waitress called Stacey who was very polite and well mannered she engaged in polite conversation and answered all our questions about the menu and also the wine list. She is an absolute diamond of a waitress and a real asset to the company and should be highly complimented for her approach to her work. Very impressed will definitely be returning.
This was my first visit to the Blue Grill, having previously eaten here when it was The Blue Room, and I was very impressed with the changes. I was celebrating the birthdays of 2 'foodie ' friends and we all ordered very different things from the menu nothing disappointed. I 'm so glad to have a restaurant of this quality open to non residents and to have somewhere to go for that special occasion. It 's my birthday soon so I guess we 'll be back!
Well This is difficult. Arriving at the Blue Grill have been before) They had no record of our booking through OpenTable. As this was on a night when they were full Valentines) we were shocked. However after a 40 minute wait the brilliant staff had accommodated us and made a table ready for us. And as usual up to their high standards. So would we book again with the Blue Grill yes. I have visited the Blue Grill 3 times now, the service and atmosphere it impeccable as always. Slightly disappointed to note the menu has changed 6 weeks ago and has not been altered on the Opentable website, it meant that what myself and my partner had selected before our visit was no longer available. Still a lovely treat for anniversaries, special birthdays.
A most enjoyable evening from beginning to end . Great food and excellent service thank you Connor) in a beautiful setting Lovely little extras such as the canopies and presentation made all the difference ! We will most certainly be back to this great little find

Awful meal delivered wrong and no apologies or refund massively overpriced for meals and very little choice on menu That's why not many in the place would never go again
