I would give this restaurant a mediocre three-star rating. Unfortunately, in Prince Edward County, there are better dining options available for the price range of $30 to $40 per dish. The portion sizes were small, the presentation lacked appeal and creativity, and the flavors were quite basic. The tartar sauce for the fish and chips was bland, and the Caesar salad was overpriced for its small size. The lobster roll tasted heavily of mayonnaise and was not satisfying. The salmon dish was cooked in a generic way with no unique flavors. One of the side potatoes even tasted rotten, which was disappointing. We detoured a long way to get to the restaurant at 5pm on a Saturday evening because google said they'd be open. Turns out the market was open but the restaurant was closed. Not great. Please keep your real open times updated. We had to go elsewhere in a pinch. Update Allow me to rephrase. I was surprised by your response 6 months after my original disappointment. I had forgotten the apparent mixup until you apparently discovered my comments and decided to make me feel WORSE about your business, rather than better. I probably would have tried to visit again. Thanks for the warning. I won't make that mistake.
I had an incredible experience at this charming restaurant! The seafood was exceptionally fresh, thanks to their ownership of a fish shop next door. Jeff and his wife started this venture during the pandemic, and it is now thriving. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. With old classics playing in the background, it is definitely a must-visit spot!
We are in town visiting family and on a whim decided to try this spot for dinner.What an absolute gem!!!Our meals were amazing. Our server was first class and so very nice.I will crave and look forward to our next visit.Suggestion: Call and make a reservation in advance. Highly recommend this restaurant for an intimate 5-star dining experience. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The salmon was prepared and seasoned with perfection. The blueberry dessert was a must to finish the perfect dining experience. I will return each time I am in Picton. Thank you!
The serving sizes are quite small, even for someone like me who doesn't eat much. We ordered the shrimp caesar salad and the sea bowl. The server was friendly. Overall, I would rate the food 2 out of 5.
