We went to celebrate my husband's birthday at the restaurant. Usually, the food is very good and this time was no exception. However, when we arrived at 7pm, they had already run out of bread. An hour later, we still had not been served. Our waiter, who was very polite and trying his best under the circumstances, offered us clam chowder instead of bread. Unfortunately, the rich soup filled us up and by the time our food arrived, we had lost our appetite. The food was delicious, but the overall experience was ruined by the long wait. This restaurant has a fantastic view and delicious food. However, our waiter was a bit forgetful and had to be reminded about our wine order and my Sambucca with my espresso. Despite this, he was very friendly and tried his best, although he seemed a bit disorganized. The highlight of the evening was when I received my double espresso in a large coffee mug instead of an espresso cup. Overall, a great meal but I was surprised by the unusual serving choice for the espresso.
Having this been our first time here on 3/3 and not knowing what to expect, I can say my party was pleased from the food choices, to drinks, to dessert choices, and had great service from our waiter and the view was amazingly perfect. The clam chowder soup was delicious, chicken lettuce wraps, calamari, and mahi-mahi tacos were amazing. Definitely will be back.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The view, the food, and the drinks are all fantastic. Occasionally the service may appear a bit slow, but that's only because the servers are very busy out on the patio. They are professional and amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!

They have the best Pear Martini! Although the glass is small and the pour doesn't seem fair for the cost... I'd order it over and over again. My usual is 2 each time I visit.
Our server Stacy was amazing! The food was delicious. My steak was decent. The atmosphere was lovely.
Boathouse on the Bay is a family favorite good for a nice dinner out or a special occasion.
