The food here is subpar at best. There’s really nothing special about this place. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of food you get. The cappuccino is $6 and to get it with a dairy free substitute costs $2 extra. That would be $8 just for a cappuccino for someone who has a dairy restriction. The tomatillo scramble with avocado and chicken is pretty bad and comes with three raw slices of tomato to fill the rest of the plate. The food isn’t worth the price. Wouldn’t go again, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Bongo Room is one of the best breakfast restaurants my family has ever been to and ever will go to. We’ve been going here for years. The food is absolutely phenomenal, especially the white chocolate caramel pretzel pancakes which is a staple we get every time. Best pancakes we’ve ever had. And the staff couldn’t be nicer and the food comes out insanely quick for how busy it always is. If you have the chance to eat breakfast in Chicago, I cannot recommend this place enough.
The front desk people are so disrespectful they do not even care about us as soon as the new customer comes in there ignore us then after attending them they continue us And here we i said I just ordered something and here for pick-up they just told me it's not ready right now you can wait outside I was like what the hell... I just cancelled the order
This place is spectacular. We went at breakfast/lunch time and were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy was pleasant. They had fresh juices (so good), solid GF choices, and large portions. I ordered the deconstructed lobster roll eggs benedict and it was hands down the best meal I've had in LONG TIME.

It’s the only restaurant in Chicago I make a point to visit every single time I’m in town and I tell every person going there to stop in. Nothing else compares and I have yet to find another place with the sauce instead of syrup concept for pancakes. Why isn’t everyone doing this?!
Delicious, extraordinary, stupendous meal. Worth the wait would recommend all items but especially the chocolate tower, house potatoes with cheese, and chicken sausage.
Best pancakes/sweet breakfast in Chicago bar none. Actually, all of the food is really good. I’ve been coming here since high school, and now bring my daughters here.
We shared the class Benedict and it was good. The service was great and decorated was nice!
