Awesome gem that I’ve found just by searching for kid-friendly places reasonably close to all relatives and friends invited to my son’s third birthday. It’s the sort of place that would deserve to exceed the usual review scale, six stars would at least be required to represent the distance between The Boot and many other places that I reviewed with 5 stars. Ever since we set foot into this great pub, we’ve been welcomed with smiles and a level of kindness that other places reserve only for returning guests. This was my birthday Sunday Lunch celebration with family many of whom live locally and had heard that the Boot was renowned for its Sunday roast. First off the service was excellent friendly, polite, prompt, great with the two kids etc. starters were all good langoustine, squid, kofti etc The problem and for me and my guests a big one) was we were all specifically asked how we wanted our beef cooked. We were a group of fifteen who had been on a five mile walk and wanted to finish the evening with a good meal. Communication with the pub before the day had been excellent, emails were responded to swiftly and an easy way of ordering and paying organised. On the evening the table was ready for us when we arrived and drink orders were taken immediately. The waiters were kind, patient and extremely efficient. We booked a table for 15 for a surprise birthday meal. The staff were absolutely fantastic and really delivered a special meal for us, they even sorted out the shop-bought cake we had brought with us and sang along to the happy birthday too! The food was incredible, highly recommend the Chicken New Yorker! Kids had an amazing time, the playground and garden is brilliant, such a big space for them to run their dinners off! I booked The Boot for a large family get together for my Mum's 80 th. I hired the marquee for a buffet style lunch. I have to praise Zoe. Sarah ,Chef and all the staff for their attention to detail, nothing to much trouble The day went brilliantly. Weather perfect. All my family couldn't praise the venue highly enough,and give me a big up in my choice. Wouldn't hesitate in doing again or recommending. Well Done,The Boot
21 of us ate here as a walking group after our walk. Zoe was extremely organized taking drinks and food orders before we set off. The food and drinks arrived quickly after we arrived from our morning walk. The beer, food and service was all excellent . Well done to Zoe and all her team. Very efficient. We will be back.

This is the excellent well run pub you bave been waiting for. We were a big walking party and we pre-ordered in the morning. Food and drinks arrived promptly and were of excellent quality. The vibe at this place is amazing, our server Zoe was absolutely lovely and the pork belly roast was to die for! Gorgeous! 10/10!
