I visited this restaurant for brunch and went upstairs, only to be met with disappointing service. The bartender served us our drinks but didn't offer us a menu, so I eventually had to ask someone else for one. While we waited for our order to be taken, the group next to us at the bar received their drinks, then a round of shots, and even another round, while we were completely overlooked. After finishing our drinks, we finally asked for our check. The bartender took our card, processed the payment, and then tossed the receipt in front of us before walking away. Got to the place, got my ID checked and it says to choose wherever to sit down, chose a table outside where two other tables were already there, no one came to say even hi for over 10 min, so I went to the bar to try to order, when I get there waited another 5min for servers and bartender to be done with whatever they were looking at their computer, when they finally came to me they said the kitchen had recently closed, only the bar was open. No where in their website is posted the different kitchen hours, which is besides the point, service was so bad they took almost 20min to pass that information, only after I went to the bar to ask since no server tried to serve the table. This restaurant was just a short walk from my apartment when I lived in Daybreak while working on a project for eBay. It became one of my go-to spots for a beer and dinner after work, and I often visited on weekends too. The food is excellent, the beer is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming with friendly people.
A somewhat cookie cutter SLC eatery, lacking in charm and interest. The service staff was more interested in spending time with their Daybreak regulars, than with other paying customers, I felt like an inconvenience. overpriced. the asian guy with the sleeve tattoos needs a serious attitude check. he looks SO bothered when anyone orders, I genuinely don't know how he still has a job. management needs to fire him or give him new training, bc we haven't had that issue with other servers.
I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is excellent, and the wait staff is consistently wonderful. Their brunch is one of my favorites, and the atmosphere is delightful. Thank you, everyone!
