I have just had the displeasure of visiting the Bridge this afternoon for a spot of lunch in the sunshine. Peri Peri burger The only good thing I can say about this is I was lucky enough to cut into this before taking a bite! The chicken wasn't just under cooked with a slight tinge of pink, it was literally RAW and cold to the touch. Immediately bought back. Chicken Tikka Sizzler Complete Lack of flavour, soggy vegetables and a soup like consistency on the skillet... No Sizzle, completely bland, tasteless and poorly presented. We went to The Bridge for dinner on the evening of November 1st, 2023. The duck rolls were the best I have ever had, accompanied by a delicious sauce on the side. The salt and pepper chicken was perfectly crispy. The sea bass with new potatoes for the main course was delightful. My wife enjoyed the braised lamb shank for the third time. Be sure to save room for the bread and butter pudding, which I have had four times and is my all-time favorite! The wine is always served at the correct temperature, which I appreciate. We used to enjoy dining at the Bridge, but our recent experiences, especially this most recent one, have been disappointing. While the food quality was mostly good, there were mistakes with the sides and missing elements from the menu. The service was extremely slow, with it taking over 2 hours to receive 2 courses. We had to finally approach the bar staff ourselves to place our orders. The staff appeared poorly trained and more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers. One staff member even spent 15 minutes petting a dog instead of attending to their duties. When we mentioned that the chicken wraps were dry, the presumed manager seemed uninterested. Hugely disappointed. We used to love The Bridge, and regularly visited. It has since changed hands and we won’t return. Service was on the whole rude and extra slow, apart from one very young waitress who was friendly, everyone was rude and inefficient. The food was diabolical took ages and so expensive for a dried up and small Cajun chicken burger. The chicken was tough as it was so over cooked. We ordered a second round of drinks which I had to cancel as they never arrived, it was all in all a hugely disappointing visit. And gutted such a previously lovely pub has lost its wining edge.

Went this evening with my family, as we used to love this place. The Childrens food was passable, but the butterfly fillet chicken burgers were half a small fillet, cut in half, cooked within an inch of its life. The buns were dried out and the coleslaw was definitely off! Couldn’t eat it. The main bar man was extremely rude and more interesting in chatting with locals, than serving ice cream to my young kids. We had to cancel the last drinks order, as it still wasn’t with us after 20 minutes, and the place was not busy. Unfortunately, won’t go back. Such a shame.
Visited today for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. Lovely friendly staff greeted us straight away. We decided to go for the Cosy Supper Set menu. Good price and the foo was really delicious. We opted for soup to start which was Spiced apple and parsnip. Really good with the right size kick. Steak frites fie mains and the most succulent tomatoes. We had planned to have a pudding but genuinely couldn't fit it in. Will definitely visit again. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely evening.
We had our daughter's first birthday party here in October. The staff were nice and great helping out, everything went smoothly for us and the guests had a great time. We had a food selection of pizza and chicken which was perfect as well. We'd definitely recommend it for anyone in the area wanting a decent space to have a get together. Thanks again to the whole team.
I used to frequent Bridge for Friday dinner regularly. The food and service were always great until tonight. We had to wait a long time for average food, and the girl at the bar displaying a serious attitude while taking our money. I won't be returning.

Love this place, we walk from Altrincham along the canal and its always a great place to eat. The food is first class and the staff are friendly and helpful, especially Matt and Phil. Highly recommended.
