The worst Sunday lunch I have experienced anywhere. My friend and I booked in advance, encouraged by some of the reviews online to be terribly disappointed by the quality of the ingredients. My sirloin of beef was tough and full of rinds and my friend's...shoulder of pork was about 25 per cent fat. Cauliflower cheese was undercooked and not enough of it, yorkshire puddings had the consistency of cardboard. My friend has been in the licenced trade in South Wales for 21 years and he has never experienced such a poor quality Sunday lunch. Our beers were o.k., the Moonshine acceptable but coming to the end and the Thornbridge Crackendale was excellent.
I was here solo, with friends, as couple and with family and for the greatest part it was an absolute joy. eating is wonderful, vegan and vegetarian friendly (as well as many meat options) and was never a disappointment they have a wide selection of train on hahn, which is quite fast to let some (as well as the usual suspects) the prices this can be quite steep, but that is to expect that the area and the staff are fast to let them know the only time I have yet to do it. if this was not such a strange time, I would be very happy to join in the bar a very welcome place on the map
Visited 28th Dec and although been a regular for many years this will be our last time. The burgers were dry and had a bad taste, a funny smell and tasted off, couldn't eat them. When we mentioned to the waitress she said they do...taste the food and sometimes do get a bad batch strange comment!! Made me thought we were guinea pigs! We did not have to pay for them but we both had runs/ diarrhea for a few days which spoilt the rest of our Xmas holidays. Absolutely a shocker experience of place that started of at high standards and dropped significantly.
Visited here on a Saturday afternoon at the start of the month and overall it was very good. A great selection of drinks (they also serve trays of thirds), decent service a great main course. Had the Turkey, Sprout, Cranberry Stuffing Pie' with...chips mushy peas. The dessert of Panettone Limoncello Trifle' was just okay, and was slightly disappointing in comparison. I would still highly recommend it though for their famous pies.

my family had a Sunday dinner on 10-04-2022 all three of us had lamentation and I can say that was one of the best Sunday evening dinner ever. - it was fantastic. everything became perfection, large portions, very tasty, fast drink and. food service, beautiful atmosphere and finally homemade yorkies. get in! all in all, an amazing meal, reasonable prices, would thoroughly recommend to anyone who has not been before!
We(2 couples) had been to the Broadfield this afternoon for a late lunch. The food was tasty with lovely selection of traditional and vegan/vegetarian alternatives- the pies and sausages both meat veg alternative) were yummy and the staff were very welcoming and friendly....The pale ales got a big thumbs up too. Overall, a fantastic experience and a restaurant we would love to visit again.
This pub has been one of my favourite places since true north took over, around 12 years ago, but this last visit was, probably, my last visit for a meal. Staff is not as friendly as has been for years even if it wasn’t busy,...they rushed around and spent more time talking to each other than looked after the dinners. Food was very average at best, and also cold in the middle ham shank.
We have been eating here for several years however this was our first visit for a year food and drink as good as ever great service from the waitresses in particular isis recommend the steak and ale pie superb

great atmosphere for a Saturday night. lots of space. we got our own private functional room that was great. good choice in menu. my burger was a little small but moderately expensive. good, friendly service.
