Disappointing. The dishes we ordered arrived in a few minutes. I did wonder if the ‘traditional steak and ale’ pie had been filled with tinned stewed steak, it had a wafer thin layer of puff pastry on top. The chips were ok but there was not many and there wasn’t a lot of the frozen mixed veg either. My friends haddock and chips was ok. Pavlova turned out to be two small ready made meringues accompanied by cream and a few berries with a squirt of raspberry sauce. Ok but we hoped for the genuine article! And I could be wrong but I think the prices on their website are out of date.
I was there on a very windy afternoon and found the indoor bar quite cozy. It seemed to be a family-run place and was both efficient and friendly. They cheerfully went above and beyond by mailing a special water bottle that I accidentally left there. I live in the US and had already left Burntisland, so returning to get it was not an option for me. That simple act of kindness speaks volumes about the character of the place and its people. The drinks were also quite good .
We have recently visited this establishment on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The buffalo chicken wings are up there as some of the best we have ever tasted. We draw out our lunches so much to take our time to really enjoy the delicious, fresh food on offer. Always new specials on offer at reasonable prices. A big thank you and congratulations to the owners, management and the hard working staff. We will be back again and again.
Popped in after a day out visiting St Andrews on way back home. Food had stopped being served at 3pm. We arrived at 3.15 and the lovely polite lady behind the bar said she would ask the chef if still ok to get food. Being a chef I thought the answer would be a big no, but true to his profession he stayed open to do us food that was very good. Credit to you all

Went to the Sands tonight for their specials Tapas night. Food is usually amazing but tonight was even more so! Brilliant choices, value and quality! 8 adults sat down to an amazing meal . Every course was brilliant but the tortilla was my favourite. If this special continues it’s a must to try!
Terrible Staff. Service was terrible and didn't get what I asked for. The owner has a very good friend that comes here and shouting of his head saying we are best friends making a right fool of him self, and his spite flying all over people's food. Do not recommend this place.
This was our second visit in two weeks and we again had an outside booth. Staff organised the lighting and heating for us and it was perfect. Food was exactly what we wanted, well presented and served. Young serving staff were being well trained and polite.
Stayed for one night with my family. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, the food was good and the hotel had a lovely quaint atmosphere. My mother and granny were very happy, had a great experience here.

First time we have stayed here. Nice friendly welcome on arrival. Dinner was fantastic. Room was nice and clean. Very comfy bed. We will definitely stay again.
We have been here a few times for brunch and lunch and the menu selection is pretty decent and good quality food, best place to go in Burntisland.
