Foods gone down hill 3 of us ordered steak all burnt. Very disappointing when I told the staff they told me it was char grilled. Never have I had a steak like that there they have always been fine and not burnt or char grilled. Waiter then cleared the table and didn’t offer us any desserts or any more drinks. It’s like they wanted up gone as we spoke up about the food being burnt. Then I see the chef come out if the kitchen with a pint no wonder the food was brunt he was half cut cooking it. Avoid.
I used to love The Butchers, but my recent experiences have forced me to reconsider. It seems like they are relying too much on their previous reputation. My last few visits involved a 40-minute wait in a half-empty restaurant, only to receive dry meat, cold potatoes, rock-hard Yorkshire puddings, and insufficient gravy. The vegetables were decent and the waitstaff were pleasant. However, there are other restaurants in the area that are getting it right, so I don't plan on returning any time soon.
Lovely local.Very friendly staff and locals .Was staying nearby for a week Saturday night visit. My husband is a real ale drinker. Preferably from pumps. So you can imagine his disappointment they had run out of ale .(No delivery till they opened again Wednesday). That's OK as they had bottled real ale. Guess what before the end of the evening that too had run out.!!!! NOT Everyone drinks LAGER.
The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They do an excellent job serving customers and creating a great atmosphere. I dined here with my partner tonight and wanted to give a shoutout to the hardworking team. They make a fantastic team. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Lovely Sunday lunch, quality beef, Yorkshire pudding, fab roast potatoes and roast parsnips. Cauliflower cheese was delicious and mash superb. Gravy excellent. Lovely setting and atmosphere. A really lovely, tasty meal.
Had Sunday lunch, it's was absolutely delicious! Everything was so fresh. The pub is beautiful and comfortable and the staff can't do enough for you! We will definitely be going back!
Great staff, very attentive. There were 17 of us all eating they brought out the food piping hot together. Very impressed!!

Main meal was good,... starter lacked a touch of dressing on salad very bland.
