"Honestly the worst place to get a sandwich overpriced, and waited an hour and half with no prior warning of a wait! the only reason we waited and didn’t just leave was the kids area only positive for this cafe the rest is a joke!"

Visited this restaurant with my mother during my lunch break from work. We placed our order ten minutes after arriving, but 20 minutes later we still hadn't received our food. Despite there being four to five staff members at the bar when we arrived, they all disappeared after we ordered, leaving only the chef in the kitchen. He spent about 15 minutes chatting with the delivery guy and then another 5 minutes on his phone before I had to inquire about our food at the front desk. When I asked, I was told to wait two minutes without an apology or explanation. Our food was finally brought to us about 5 minutes later by a server who asked, "Is this yours?" while holding dirty cutlery and crumpled...

I have dined at this restaurant before and the food was delicious, but I was very disappointed with my experience today. We went for breakfast and when we arrived, we were the only customers, yet we still had to wait quite a while for our food to be served. My meal (eggs and mushrooms on toast for £7) and my partner's meal (bacon and eggs on toast for £8) were served, but we had to wait a long time for my daughter's avocado and mushrooms on toast (£8). The bread that was advertised as 'artisan' turned out to be regular sliced bread, and the avocado was literally just half an avocado placed on the toast. The food was okay, but the presentation was lacking and not worth the high prices. I will...

Called in today for a cup of tea.Sat outside and had to clean the table of disgusting cigarette ash! We moved the full up ash tray a ramekin that i hope doesn’t get used for anything else) and moved the cups etc to the end of the table. When the waitress bought us our tea, on a filthy tray ,it was in stained chipped mugs and she made no effort to clear the old cups .After seeing this tray and the mugs we wondered how clean it was behind the scenes. We left, didn’t drink our tea and we most certainly will not return.

Ordered bread and olives expecting to get a nice wholemeal or seeded bread. What arrived was standard supermarket wholemeal sliced bread which had been toasted. This plus a coffee was nearly £9. Really disappointing. Coffee served in a cup with no saucer and the chap who took our order was rude. All the staff in the kitchen had long hair and none had it tied up or covered. We only went there because they had space when our preferred places were full. Now we know why there was space........................ Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Called in here for a quick snack before heading off on a trip. Thought 40 min's was enough, but could have done with a bit more. A nice choice of salads, soup, sandwiches and cakes. It took a while to arrive, but when it did it was worth it. so many flavours on the plate. The place is also a deli and shop selling allsorts of fruit and veg. Would have liked to have stopped and browsed, but no time, but will call again when in Truro. Everything very clean nice staff. A play area for children too.

We came in for lunch today and enquired about gluten free options. We were told there weren’t any. We left! No wonder they were nearly empty. Ok if you were veggie or vegan but if you are wheat intolerant low gluten options are not a substitute. The cynic in me says catering for fads is trendy, catering for a medical need is not. We found one of Truro’s other excellent cafes to spend our money in.

We stopped off for a quick lunch after shopping for the morning. When we were given some menus we were told there was a wait which was fine and was more than happy to sit and take in the pretty layout of the place. The food was very homely, fresh ingredients and well worth the wait. In all a great little find and loved the food, staff and location

Stopped for a coffee and tried a couple of their handmade pasties. Initially staff polite but food not good and poorly cooked. Attention service very poor too, especially as there were only 2 other customers in. All in all, felt very overpriced for low quality food not a good experience. Will not return and cannot recommend. We enjoyed a delicious warm beef and Brie open salad, as well as a spinach quiche, both served with salad. The food arrived promptly and was delightful. Each plate cost less than £8. The staff were charming, and we appreciated the option to dine outside.
