We dined at the restaurant for the first time last night and were truly impressed by the menu, the staff's knowledge, and their professionalism. It seems that the restaurant team is relatively new, as there were some minor issues. Unfortunately, two drinks were spilled over customers by the waiting staff while we were there, with one of the spills being a glass of red wine on me, potentially staining my brand new clothes irreversibly. This is a charming pub with excellent food and staff who are welcoming, friendly and intelligent. I 'm conscious that 'intelligent ' is an odd word to use in a review like this but I got the sense when conversing with the staff, particularly our waitress, that they actually listen when you talk to them and any response, whether to a request or general chatter, is considered and smart. Had an excellent lunch at this restaurant - the portions were generous and piping hot. The 12oz steak was particularly delicious, as was the mixed grill and ribeye. The service was very friendly and I will definitely be returning.
