had a really nice family dinner on Saturday after we had a few days online. we thought eating was delicious and cooked at home (all gluten-free too). the barktroganoff was very tasty with delicate meat, the ribs were fleshy, a fantastic cumberland sausage with maic and gravy, and the fish goujons on the children's menu had the most incredible teig. I would try the next time the fish and the chips! puddings were also great, and the personal was welcoming and welcoming. worth a visit, we're safe back.
Amazing! When we arrived and noticed it was closed, we were pleasantly surprised by a fresh lunch option. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making sure we were well taken care of. The food was served promptly and met a very high standard, offering great value for money. I highly recommend it if you find yourself nearby!
Overall nice place to go. Staff friendly, location fine, food good but just missing the mark on favouring, e.g. salmon nicely cooked, but with too strong a coating, conversely chicken bit bland, sauce could do with a bit more punch. Update: this has now closed. Look for the Greek Table at the Castle Inn for the replacement.

Stopped off as half way place . Took the dogs for a walk first at Doddington castle. Then came here for lunch as dogs are allowed and spoilt! Very nice food though not of lunch choices so we had starters as a lucnch. Very good
A lovely pub. Fairly modern. Comfy chairs. Sofas too to relax on. This pub is very dog friendly. There were alot of dogs on the pub today. Our visit was affected negatively by a dog barking quite alot. Plenty of parking.
Booked very last minute and managed to accommodate a party of 7 with no issues. Staff super friendly and great menu choices. Highly recommended if you're in the area. We will be back.
