schon führt die Reise ins entlegene Schloss durch eine wunderbare Landschaft. das Schloss oder tatsächlich die Ruine hat seinen eigenen idyllischen Charme. am Eingang erhalten Sie ein kleines Booklet und auf Anfrage einen Audioguide, sowohl gut gemacht als auch informativ. Sie sollten nur ein englisches Vokabular haben, das über die englische Schule hinausgeht. so können Sie ein wenig mehr Englisch lernen. unsere Kinder fanden vor allem die Geschichte der blauen Dame sehr spannend. die Mitarbeiter des englischen Erbes waren sehr nett. wie haben zwei entspannende Stunden dort verbracht und kann einen Besuch empfehlen. übrigens gibt es wunderbare Motive für Fotograpen!
Berry Pomeroy is incredibly atmospheric with a fascinating history. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Also there is a terrific little café and a gift shop with something for everybody. There are some amazing views and a nature trail leading to a lake teaming with wildlife for your mini explorers. The perfect place for a great family day out. I absolutely love the place. :
Been going to Berry Pomeroy Castle since 1996 and it's definitely captivating and fascinating. Definitely active and haunted but not all the time. Not everyone will see or experience anything there while others will even if you think your sensitive. We had our first Devon cream tea at the coffee shop, and it was incredible! The warm, large freshly baked scone, combined with dollops of clotted cream and freshly made strawberry jam, was just delightful. I’ll be dreaming about this cream tea for a long time!
Berry Pomeroy Castle is very atmospheric and photogenic with its beautiful tall walls and the 'bones ' of its glorious past. My first proper visit and planning to go again next week. Stunning place with walks too.
my family loved the castle and the ground. I could have looked all day on the lookouts all the staff were nice, informatiw and very friendly. we will be coming back soon
