After dining at this establishment, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the trainee staff. I have visited this restaurant multiple times now, and I am never disappointed. It has been a while since my last visit to The Chiterns Restaurant, formerly known as The TA site. I finally made it to one of their Theme Evenings last October (Italian night) and it was a great experience. The evening was well attended and the £20 per person price was excellent value. The food was plentiful, beautifully presented, and delicious as always. I also stopped by for lunch today, where I found the three-course meal for £9 to be extremely good value. It's a shame that more people don't visit to enjoy the fantastic food prepared by the trainees, who do a fantastic job. One downside is that by sharing this positive review, the restaurant may become very popular and it could become harder to secure a reservation. It's important to keep in mind that this is a training restaurant for students, not a 4-star establishment, but the food quality is certainly on par with some well-known restaurants. The students are there to learn and may sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed, so a little patience can go a long way. In the end, you will likely be rewarded with a fantastic meal. Enjoy!

The restaurant offers a great view both inside and outside of the national trust cafe. There are indoor and outdoor seating options, as well as outdoor activities like mini football and table tennis. Remember to bring a jacket as it can get very windy. Parking is available in the parking lot for £3.50 all day, but free for national trust members. Payment can be made through a 'paybyphone' machine, no cash or card accepted.
We were impressed by the extensive menu choices at this restaurant, but unfortunately, we were wrong in our expectations. The fish course was oversized but too delicious to leave uneaten. Overall, it was a lovely evening enjoyed by around 40-50 people who were all eagerly anticipating the next themed evening. At just £18.00 per person, it was a great value, especially considering the quality of the fish course.
Our group of 12 had Christmas dinner at the college last night. Some had traditional Christmas dinner while others opted for the tasty alternatives. All the food (3 courses) was delicious. Ample portions of succulent tender meat and fresh veg. Lovely christmas pud and home made mince pies. We all thouroghly enjoyed our night at the colllege looked after by friendly helpful and attentive staff.
Wonderful cooked food in an exciting setting. Lunch and Dinner, with brilliantly supervised student caterers. Many types of cuisine, with regular themed dinners as well as daily a la carte dining.

We recently enjoyed a Christmas dinner at this restaurant, prepared by students. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent and carried out to a professional standard.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is of exceptional quality. My only complaint is that the background music could be lowered slightly.
